Sapphire Rage (380 hours) started making a loud bang sound when it starts up. The blower seems to be the source of the sound. Any ideas on what is going on?

Grab the belt and shake it back and forth to see the play in the blower. Shouldn’t be any play in the pulley. Check oil in your blower. Check for metal in the blower oil.

Safely hold a long screwdriver or prybar to your ear from the blower and have someone turn it over to confirm it's actually the blower.

Also remove the waste tank lid and start it, does it still pop?

U sure it wasnt a backfire from exhaust? might need to replace your lifters if you have a stuck one... do you know if they are hydraulic? A bad air/fuel mixture can cause a gnarly backfire.
