Hello all!
I am in the market for a truck mount to startup a new business. I have previously owned a 14HP truck mount (don't recall the brand, Panther/Amtex?) and I decided to sell it before doing anything business related with it. I regret that decision in hindsight. I cleaned my house a few times and also a few friend's houses. Overall, I enjoyed the work and I found it strangely satisfying. That said, I am in the market for a new machine and give this a go...
Locally, I came across a Diamond Pro Series GT. It is practically brand new with only 9 hours on it. Mounted into a 12ft cargo trailer. Comes with 150ft of vacuum and solution hose with reels, Carpet wand, Turbo Force tile cleaner, Upholstery tool and some chemicals. The machine and trailer were both purchased at the same time roughly 3 years ago. The gentleman selling it said he bought it for his wife who had a cleaning business and she never used it so its been sitting. He says he cleaned the carb and it runs great/no issues. It is located in a southern area that does not freeze. He said he would fully demo the unit for me in person. He is firm at 10k.
My questions are,
1. Is this a good deal?
2. Is this a good machine/setup for a newbie? (I have heard its the same as a prochem blazer)
3. Pros/cons of a trailer setup? Should I be looking for a van system?
4. Anything I should be on the lookout for?
Thanks!!
Dave.
