Looking to purchase a new truckmount. I do not do this fulltime but I have been doing it for 15 pluse years I run the old Legacy 2100 steamway I like the new 2200 but can't seem to get enough info on it when searched for. so I looked into the Apex 570 seems compact and over engineered but all in all good reviews on it. And then there is the blue baron open concept simple and 10 grand lees. so what is the deal with the blue baron. Some say the TM are great that Pete is the problem.

Glad to see you posting again Anderson.

I've been wrenching a powermatic for another local cleaner for 20 years. It's a kickass machine. If you are going away from kero heat will your hose runs support that with a heat exchanger?

for now I am going to stick with Kero heat
as HX will go against my concept of being easy to work on, knowing that kero heat is not for everyone!!!!!

hows the turbo hose holding up
Steambrite did a video showing the difference in heat I will send it over to your cell phone!!

donalds testing shows 1 degre better with the TURBO HOSE vs. wire hose.

so on a 200' hose run you gain 20 degree heat

I'm not going away from the OEM factory crimped hose I have bought from you twice. We are only losing just 15° from the panel to the wand with 3/8" hose at 2 gpm through the wand on both rigs. This is incredible results for those that don't know.

Personally I’m not a fan of either. Ones over engineered and one is too under engineered. This is why we have built 2. A one wand and two wand system. Designed to out perform, out last and rarely break down. If it does extremely simple to repair. They are lifetime units.

I have talked to pete a number of times over the last few years.
Also looked at 1 of his TM a few weeks.

Also talked to a guy who has worked on a number of TM and says Petes TM are good.

review of the BLUE BARRON
1. well built...mostly all stainless steel....
compact.......fairly easy to work on.....
SS HX
2. belt drive
AR pumps, Kholer engines, tuthill blower

3. HX - about the same heat as others....
but will last

4. APO CONNECTION

negatives - drives his engines at 3600 rpm
as his pulleys look 1-1 ratio from engine to blower........

he has videos

I love my Powermatic 2100 and would love to have the new 2200 I've spoke with kevin at steamway he just doesn't seem to be interested in selling me one I've asked for a quote for what I get for 30k plus and he has never sent me one. and like I said I don't clean full time so 20k is better than 30k if the blue baron is worth it. just would like some expert advice

I have a blue baron.
It's a good machine but I did a lot of work on mine.
The blower alignment is a bit when you change belts.
I ended up installing a rail system to keep it straight when changing the belts.
I also removed the HX and all the solenoids and installed a kero heater.
This meant reworking the headers and exhaust system too.
Personally I would go with another manufacturer.
