well every cleaner has a choice. Either you pile lift or you dont. Some do, some dont. So you dont NEED to, but you will get better results, dryer carpet, use less chems, less wear on the body, less money spent on marketing and the list goes on.

Since I started in 1981 with HOST, I have always used a CRB. A lot of the time when I first started using the HOST machine with HWE in the late 80s people would ask what that machine does BECAUSE their last cleaner didnt use one. When the saw the difference in the results, I was their only cleaner for life.,

Y'all just need to get a Mytee T-Rex. It puts the CRB and wands to shame and combines agitation and rinse in the same step and less labor than a wand.

Get the T-Rex JR, perfect for residential.

T rex is ok, but i wouldnt say that by itself thats all you need. T-rex can agitate but it can also be very aggressive, and you cant use a rotary scrubber on all types of piles or rugs.

If you have a strong TM, good chemicals and heat, why would you need to scrub also?
You definitely need agitation or at least some form of it, especially on really nasty jobs.

a good example is ...and just think about it...

your washer, ever wonder why is goes one direction then back?

that's agitation!

otherwise your dirty clothes would just be soaking.

you cant tell be that all you do when you clean counters is spray a detergent, let soak and just rinse, or do you only do that?

how about your hair ( if you still have any) when you shower, and while at it, your body you you just pour the soap or shampoo on your scalp and body and let the water rinse in off?

if so , you got issues and need serious help

Well for most residential wall to wall carpet its perfectly fine. The T-Rex JR isn't too aggressive and I've used it on plenty of poly synthetic rugs with no problems.

I still own a CRB and use it on higher pile rugs etc. But the T-Rex will blow it away if its possible to use it. I use it 99x more often than a CRB.

case in point. Yesterdays customer. To get to one side of the house where the garage, bath, steps to basement, kitchen/dining area to the other side of the house where the bedrooms and den are you have to walk through the living room. The way they had the furniture set up, it left a path from the kitchen to the front hall. So that area was heavily matted. That was their main concern when they called.

I spent extra time pile lifting that area and when it was done, the carpet was even throughout. The customer said that the last cleaner indicated that it would never come back because the fibers abraid against each other and wear out.

So he didnt use a CRB and I did. guess who they will call for future cleanings and recommend to all their friends?
