Hey guys! Hopefully this isnβt out of line as a new member. I just wanted to introduce myself first and then ask about Wisconsin cleaners.
My name is Troy and I am very seriously considering getting in to carpet cleaning first as a part time side hustle but in hopes of eventually quitting my full time job.
I currently work for a large global fortune 100 company and itβs sucking the soul out of me. Probably similar to why many of you started. I am in a tech/electronic related field and just like how car enthusiasts shouldnβt become mechanics... I shouldnβt have combined my love/hobby of tech for a career.
I have and currently own my own apparel printing business, unfortunately that has slowed quite rapidly because we only sell online and the creation of print on demand companies as made it insanely easy for anyone to print their own shirt or start a brand. I still make money off this but with the crazy amount of competition I just donβt see it as every becoming a full time thing.
I have a ton of research to do, Iβm scoping out some equipment by the WI/IL border and hoping this is something I can love and build.
Are there any Wisconsin cleaners on here that would possibly consider letting me ride along on an evening/weekend. Iβd gladly pull hose or help with anything or just stand to the side and watch. I am about 40 min north/northwest of Milwaukee.
Ps - what a wonderful group of people in this industry so far. Iβve had conversations on the phone and through text with guys across the country and every single person is kind and genuine and willing to share with me how they built there business, tips, and suggestions. Itβs quite relieving to experience that since so many small businesses are cut throat and it very much makes me want to be in this field.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and hope you all had great holidays!
