Wont the salts make it show up on an infared camera?
I know if they are wet they will show, anyone try this?

That's not how the cameras work or what they are used for. Infrared reflect heat signatures. Temperature differences. You can use a UV camera for urine.

This is a good question. Theory is that the urine salts contain moisture(at least enough to ping on a moisture meter 15-30)... moisture determines temperature within materials.

Yes I've tried. No it doesn't work.

Infrared would only show urine if it was so fresh it was still warm. The temperature differential caused by salts trapping moisture in an underlying pad would be too fine, I think, for any but the most expensive of IR cameras to pick up (we're talking barely a tenth of a degree or less).

Ultraviolet (UV) would be a better choice.

Infrared great at picking up temperature differences, not good at urine deposits themselves
