Increasing to 2" Hose for Improved Water Removal?

I have a Nautilus portable, with a 1.5 inch vac hose. Will changing to a 2" hose make a difference in terms of improving water removal, thereby reducing dry times?

5.7" three stage, 6.6", and 8.?" Are probably worth 2". But 5.7" definitely need to be in series on carpet

5.7. Thank you Scott for your advice last night. We have probably solved the issue, along with continuing with the extra dry strokes and fans.
