Fedri the testing is now becoming more widely available, those numbers will go up

But also your looking at a few months of skewed data on covid, why do you think the spread isn't as bad as they first predicted???

Maybe possibly, just a slight chance that it's because we shut everything down?? Hmm.

What do you think the numbers would be right now if airports were in full swing? Unimaginable. Our hospitals would not have the capacity to handle all the people needing ventilators.

Your missing the point that people are recovering but many need to sit on a ventilator to do that, and still they are suffering irreversible lung damage from pneumonia

650 thousand number is inaccurate? According to world health organization is the one who says this. please read this article.
Dude I said 600 thousand....Not million. I was talking about the 500thousand you cited for COVID19. I’m not disputing the flu numbers.

I never said this is the most deadly thing known to man. I am saying that is something that should be respected Something that you should heed warnings and instructions by those in the medical community whose job it is to contain.
Ok fair enough but most people don't take the same pre cautions when flu season starts. This is what I am trying to say.

So Fedri, Ebola kills less people than the flu. If we have an ebola outbreak some day in a populated area should we just talk about how car crashes kill lots of people and smoking etc?
See you are not understanding what I am saying, why don't we make as big as a deal of other deadly things in the past or present? 1.35 million people die each year from car accidents, have we done something about this in the past? no, each day 25k people dies from hunger, have we done anything in the past about this? no

I remember 5 years ago or so I had this virus, took more then a week for me to start feeling better, I think it was the flu or something, man I thought i was dying, my muscles felt like someone was stabbing them, high fever, headache, sleepless nights etc. We should be careful anyway every flu season.

I see your point for sure with heart disease, etc. The scary thing is if this thing was made in a lab and released.

Watch a documentary called virus empire. It's not a conspiracy film at all just a really good documentary that came out about 2010.

It's on Amazon prime video.. they interview the man who ran the Russian program for a decade engineering the world's nastiest viruses for use as bio weapons

I am done. I was trying to help these guys save their businesses. They have no clue.

We are not going back to the way things were 30 day ago.

I hope you guys realize that.

Once this passes we will be in a deep recession worse than 07.

Damn.

I am all out of breath.

Puttin my head down and doin my thing.
Dude I’m not going out of business lol. !!! I’m getting ZERO calls for residential cleaning because people are being sensible enough to know carpet Cleaning can wait. The kids are home and the elderly don’t wanna get sick. My business is 75-80% residential and that’s the way I like it. My people will call when things calm down. More more marketing to residential sounds foolish to me unless your like Stanley trying to capitalize on fear of germs offering to spray peoples houses with antibacterial shit. But hey that just my opinion.

Its NOT GOING TO BE THE SAME AS IT WAS a month ago guys.

There is a paradigm shift happening right before your eyes.

From an invite only forum I am a member.

I am the idiot in this group. Don;t know why they tollerate me as they are all Execs, and CEOs of mulit million dollar companies and or have IQs in the top 3% of the US.

Here is a post from a few minutes ago. This is good trading info if you are a trader.
Take this serious fellas. I do NOT want to see any of you loose what you worked so hard for. Even you jackwads that voted for Hillary and think the Orange man is bad.

This is past all that. This is raw dog serious.

Shit is going to change. You are not going to recognize the economic and social landscape that reveals itself once they give up on this silly notion of flattening the curve. No worries you all will get your way and they will leave most of us shut down for awhile longer.

Anyways.....

"""As I've mentioned a few times recently, I work in the hotel industry as an exec for STAY. Smith Travel Research, aka STR, the data aggregator for the industry and the most looked to for the industry outlook just announced their updated 2020/2021 RevPAR expectations. Sobering and Wow

2020 expecting -51% RevPAR (revenue per available room), even with 15-16% rooms taken offline this year (ie most hotels shut for the next 2-3 months), meaning revenue down roughly 65% for the remainder of the year and +63% next year (-20% vs 2019). Given the fact that local/state taxes on hotel revenues average 17% or so, and all the adjacent industries to hotels (restaurants, retail, small biz, etc) that generate sales tax receipts and jobs, this will absolute decimate local and state budgets, to say nothing of the hotel/hospitality industry. The bailouts will not keep most hotels above water if this forecast holds, and I think it will (STR is usually overly optimistic). At least my firm can shift to residential like business + traveling nurses + some other activity to keep our hotels full. If this outlook is published widespread among research community and hedge funds by Monday AM, lodging stocks are going to get crushed Monday, as well as airlines and restaurants (since all 3 related).
""""""

Do with this info what you will. But you need to understand something. Business travelers are the largest share of Hotels occupancy. This does NOT bode well for the business outlook in America in the next 2 years.

Hold on this is gonna hurt.

Exactly same here. We have a lot of repeats they are just waiting to call to have services done until this clears up... everyone is shut down here and they know that

The economy regardless of covid 19 has been due for a fix for at least 3yrs now, sure the shut downs are going to make it much worse but what can u do?

Nothing just ride it out and be glad your parents or anyone you care about in their 60s/70s didn't get infected.

Recession was going to happen regardless and small 1 man show business like many on here actually aren't that bad off, overhead is pretty low they don't stand to lose as much

It's the 4+ truck guys and beyond that have a lot more to think about.

There always is a scape goat for a recession, this virus is a perfect one I guess.

Lung cancer usually comes from smoking, do people panic and stop smoking, no they don't. First we need to deal with these bigger issues like cancer, car accidents, 25k people die in hunger every day, flu, heart attacks....

An estimated 142,670 lung cancer deaths are expected to occur in 2019 in the United States, accounting for about 27% of all cancer deaths nationwide.
You are focusing on wrong things, my friend. If you let this virus spread freely it will kill by millions a day.

I would not ask my doctor for carpet cleaning tips.
And I would not ask my fellow carpet/upholstery cleaners for medical advice.
Stick to what you know. I'll trust what every epidemiologist is saying about coronavirus. Don't get it. Don't spread it. Enjoy your downtime. We'll get through this.
