Since my laptop is officially dead. ( backed it up on a 1 TB before it died) here is the shortened version of how we're doing it from my phone.

1) Ask for name on phone calls and give them my name. Say nice to meet you. Harder to hang up on a person you have formally met.

2) Have a mini van set up for our new economy package as encap.
3) Working hard our past clients who are a gold mine every month with Service Monster post cards and Rich Cleaner newsletters.


Starting a rug spa coupled with the above and we are breaking the glass ceiling and will
Either double our business or come close! When I get a new pc I will go into more detail.

5 months as a stand alone business so we are still laying the foundation for most of the information I've learned on TMF. We are not using Service Monster but will see about Rich Cleaner subscriptions. Are they free?

I noticed that when I spoke to you a few months back. I said my name at the beginning of my phone call and you said goodbye by name about 15 minutes later when we were finishing up.

TMF is my favorite Forum. I tried the Loser Board but I was too much for them. I was banned forever because I made two simple sincere truthful observation about the pay toilet and boom I was gone. I think anybody in Carpet Cleaning needs to take a look at Rob's DVD. He is certainly worth a listen.

haha Jay I have those to. But sadly at 53 I am losing my hair.

Sorry to hear that Im younger and was starting to loose mine too...BUT!! Thank The Lord with his guide I have stopped the loss of hair and the regrowth!

Believe it or not Stress, fatigue, malnutrition, and lack of sleep.

I have controlled my sleeping habits, Eat more on time, taken supplements to help my stress and have reduced my use of soaps and certain shampoos on my hair. I now use keratin enriched hair gels that dont contain alcohols or high ph's. I have increased eating
pumpkin seeds and drinking green tea to prevent my hair reacting to DHT when under stress. I drink Omega 3, biotin, enzymes and vitamins with probiotics . I do exercise, ride a bicycle and jog, even do Insanity and P90X.
Dude dont let your hair fall dont give up theres no point in being good at cleaning and being successful in this or any business if you cant or are not willing to help make your health be and stay healthy.

I am learning that in this carpet cleaning business in my business its not the equipment, or even the customers, or jobs or even the money thats important...Its me, My health and my family.

If theres no me theres no business, if theres no business I cant take care of my responsibility (my family)

if you noticed it all starts with me/You!!!!


Dont wait to get old and weak and in agonizing pain to realize that all this could have been prevented if you took some time to place yourself as the first step in your business success. Its strange how no one in this industry ever mentions how important You your own state of health is so important in succeeding in business and in life.

These Ideas are a must for sure I have been doing the name thing for years and truly does get personal with the customer very quick and the closing rates are for sure higher. Your correct Rob should have been doing these mailings for years I have neglected this in the past and can not believe the difference it makes!

My goal is to double my business this year as well, I will be re reading this thread when I get home. As of yesterday my numbers are just a bit under doubling last years to date, I have a $1k commercial job scheduled before the end of the month so january should finish doubled.

Nice job tony. Make sure you position yourself in case you lose that client. Not being pessimistic, just speaking from experience. Lost a client exactly like that once and sh!t changed real fast lol

I'm really trying too. I worry the same thing so I've been putting a commercial flyer together to help land at least one more. I figure if I have two and one bails on me I'll be ok. Just to risky not to. There are too many variables outside my control.
