Where are we standing on the virus issue today? The numbers are lot higher compare to April , more daily cases, more deaths , but what changed , public perception and we all used to it( kind of)
Yes, we're hearing about horrible stories about young lives being lost, about overall consequences for different industries.
I took April, May off( as lot of you did) and used free time to spruce up my newwly acquired home and get closer to members of family. After 2 months I felt that perception of community started to
change, so is my attitude about sitting home. I do remember from all different threads related to Covid that we've speculated about final numbers, about time frame. Little did we know that first vaccine is going to be developed and used before Christmas 2020. We didn't dare to think about death casualties as high as they got. Am I scared? Somewhere deep down, yes. On outside, I'm the same as I was a year ago, I see the same reluctance to succumb to virus from my customers. Most of them wear face coverings in respect of my presence, but many of them seem to living their lives and
virus is just the small part of itBusiness was good throughout the year and stays good for the moment, no advertising or soliciting involved, except majority of the restaurant accounts disappeared ( I'm thankful for that) and old wolves know why, hahaha).
Too soon to say about what'll happen in beginning of 2021, but there is always hope.
With a new( grosser) strain of virus found overseas ( Europe, Australia- allegedly) there is no chance that Covid will disappear as a Christmas miracle ( although we all wish for it).
I'll be dammed if I get up one morning and virus be gone. This is much better scenario than to think of apocalyptic prognosis of millions people dying in following years.
What's your opinion?
