Hi guys,
I used the groutmaster today on 2 small bathroom tile floors. Less then 5x5 foot each bathroom.
So I mixed up 1 once of gm in a half gallon of water in a small hand pump sprayer.
Then I fired up the oreck xl with soft brush and went at it.
This stuff is amazing. Worked excellent!. Took all dirt off quickly.
Not sure what's in it but it just works!!
I had a area the had a slight yellowish tinge right next to the toilet that did not come as white as I would have liked.
So I took bonnet pro spotter and full strength and put it on the area and let it set. Scrubbed it by hand then wiped it away.
NO DIFFERENCE!!! And bonnet pro spotter is VERY potent!!!!
Groutmaster is just as strong and alot more cost efficient!
I'm impressed!!

that yellowish thing probably its urine, gm will not remove it, you need to hit those yellow areas with an acidic grout cleaner.

Acid side cleaning for man-made tile is typically 100% safe, for natural tile not so much. The slate floor hammered with NC clay I'm doing this coming Tuesday is not acid friendly at all.

Thank you Jim! Yep this is man made tile. And the grout is about 6 years old. So I'm hoping this acid will take care if it. The color is white.
So your talking the difference between tile and natural stone correct?

be careful with acid...problems can arise on any grout lines if not used properly....
safer with RGM......

i would suggest scrubbing with GM....
scrub with grout stick on a pole for small jobs.....
CRB for large tile jobs.......

if you have issues around toilet.....
you can get a small wire brush made for grout lines.....
does the same thing as acid but easier to control.....

Zep acid grout cleaner is good to keep in your inventory. Many times you can go high pH with grout master style cleaning and touch up with zep acid in just a few areas. Be prepared and switch gears as needed.
Jim,
Ok I will pick up a small thing of it and grout wire brush like anderson said. Will keep them on the truck!!

pros: cleans well , brightens grout, can clean difficult spots...

cons:
can pool on grout and deepen grout lines...
can etch stainless kitchen refrig......
can seep into loose grout lines and cause issues.....
not good to touch or breath......

i havent used acid in years with high heat, crb and RGM.....

i woudnt suggest acid for anyone new starting out cleaning tile and grout....IMO

bro
i have been cleaning tile and grout for 15 years....

i used acid for the first 3-5 years....frequently had some issue with it....
even 1 problem is enough to get rid of the stuff......

with a CRB or a good scrubbing with grout brush and GM....
i clean grout better , safer, less risk, cleaner, and quicker than i ever did using acid......

Also be careful not to splash the acid cleaner on those stainless steel appliances. I have done it once and I had to go back and restore the fridge, dishwasher and the stove, took my 2 hours.
Oh man. Ok i will be very careful! Thanks fedri!
