These are why we use Vibes and sell them to. Nothing beats OP (Oscillating Pad) machines. Great for quiet zones, high rises and all CGD!

really much pity to hear and to read about in thread that today these are not in practices and people are not going for best dissertation experts
What is that gibberish? It is not even a grammatically correct sentence nor is it punctuated. So, take your best practices to someplace that cares.

"Home Rule" gives municipalities the ability to create their own ordinances. Many cities have noise ordinances that do no have time restrictions, meaning they are enforceable whenever.

Here's the catch: just because some city council enacts an ordinance doesn't make it lawful under state and federal law. People just go with it. All ordinances have to be reasonable. Nobody challenges these ordinances in court, so they stay active. Most cities had panhandling ordinances until the supreme court determined those ordinance were controlling freedom of speech.

I would personally go to the city manager of that place and complain. If they don't listen, I would go to a council meeting and detail how an unreasonable law, paired with an unreasonable cop, cost you business revenue, and more importantly, possible long-term problems from not being able to finish the job.

Find out what the law is for noise and what the cutoff time is for the area you service. Then keep a copy of it with you in the van binder. Happens again, pull it out and show the idiot cop the RSA rule and then move on with your job. If he arrest you, do what SRD said and sue the city/town for false arrest and harassment.

By the way, Butler is one of the least noisy machines out there.

Just sayin
This is exactly what we did while hunting in my town. Ny & nj people have been invading our town for years. Trying to change it into a city. They have pretty much succeeded. But we had to carry a copy of local ordinances and state law. State law here overides local in that situation. Which both police and the judge fought against us about. Lol so much for "laws". But definitely not a bad idea to get a copy of local noise ordinances in every town you may need to work in. Internet makes it much easier today. When we did it we had to find the damn book. That the police department didnt even have lol. I think public works had it.

So sick of this. Can't wait to go back to the wonderful Hoosier state where folks are sane. I have posted before about being shut down by police, even when cleaning in industrial/commercial areas at night. Today, me and a buddy went to clean about 200 feet of hallway at a retirement home I take care of. We started at 5:30, figured we would finish by about 7:30 or so. No big deal. Right?

Wrong.

Apparently some neighbors that must be probably 400 ft or further away complained. I was like "Ummm...its 6 pm. Is there a time that this is allowed? Because I thought this is well within the hours that I can make noise." The cop flat out said "If we get a complaint, you have to stop. If we get another complaint, you are going to jail". So I said "ok let me turn my speed on low, and see if that works for you guys". I go out to my butler, set the speed on idle. You can BARELY hear it from 50 ft away when its on idle speed, let alone from across the street and parking lot. He tells me "Nope. Must be completely silent. If you start it up again, I have to take someone to jail" Then they left.

Insanity.
Wow! That is crazy.
