I was doing a small job for a local church this afternoon and parked right next to the sidewalk, but in the churches driveway. I worked for them some 2 days last week and they requested 32 more chairs to clean so that's what I was doing. While I was inside working evidently someone took the golden opportunity to steal my Samsung cell phone out of my holder in my van and take off with it. It doesn't appear anything else was bothered. I'm not so concerned about the phone itself since I was planning on replacing soon anyway. I'm more concerned with all the info on it although I think everything is password protected. I don't use any kind of screen protection. Well, I went online and was able to at least track where it went from the church to the next destination about a mile or so away. I find there are 2 old men living there and they know nothing about the phone so I ask the neighbors on each side. It so happens one saw a woman visit the 2 old timers and let's just say she WAS NOT a social worker, but you might say she was doing a certain KIND of social work! Long story short, I think she was a pro and I'm not talking a pro cleaner, but a pro thief and a pro hooker. Of course the old men refused to tell me anything about her except she wasn't there for social work!

The tracking ends at their apartment so either the battery has died or they turned it off. I decided to send an erase to the phone since it's highly doubtful I will ever see it again. There is only one pawn shop in our town and I may check there tomorrow. I don't think they can get any relevant information off it other than my name and address as well as about every customer I've worked for in I don't know how many years. I may have to get the police involved. I offered a reward for the return that is more than the phone itself is probably worth at this point, but I doubt that will prove helpful. It's an android Samsung phone and unless they have that charger I suspect it's deader than a doornail at this point.

Sorry to hear about the phone. If you don’t mind sharing a bit of info on the chairs.

I have been cleaning a 55-K sf Church for 3 yrs. now. 2 yrs. ago, I cleaned about 150-odd chairs @ $5 per.
( seat cushion - 2” sides / back - both sides ), standard stackables.

This year they approached me w another batch but thought the $5 per was too much.

What do you guys charge for stackers ?

5 per for seat and back isn't too much. I gave this church a better deal than that because virtually none of the chairs had so much as a single spot on them and were very lightly soiled so my production on them was pretty fast so I went all the way down to 3 per chair. If I thought they were going to be more of a challenge to clean I would charge accordingly. I don't get a lot of this type of work and it's been several years I think since the last time. They had me do all their auditorium and moved all the chairs out for me after they were cleaned so that made that go very fast too. This was a fairly small church and likely a fairly small budget to match. If the chairs had been more soiled and stained up I certainly would take that into account and wouldn't have gone that low. I've seen everything from gum, candle wax, and all kinds of different stains on these chairs in the past, but none of that was on the ones I cleaned. I probably averaged a chair about every 3 minutes. Pretreat, agitate, extract, next chair. That first round I did about 144 then 32 this week were added on.

If they balked at 5 more than likely would've perhaps gone down to 4 per unless they were more heavily soiled and stained. I have no set price for stuff like this so it's really a judgement call. I doubt I will ever get any more church chairs as easy to clean as these were. They looked almost like new BEFORE I cleaned them.

I have donen church chairs and man I have regretted charging the 4 dollars. I just cannot any longer charge that amount. I usually clean about 200-300 and it takes me almost 4 days to clean. To actually clean Not do a quick pass I mean prevac, pre spray, agitate and rinse. I have changed my cost to 18 each minimum
