Just wondering what are some of your goals. Keeping it simple, your cleaning business and all the services you offer would count as one.

I would count things as additional income such as rental properties, stock dividends, bubble gum machines, ect.

Well right now, i only do carpet, upholstery, hardwood, leather, vct, pressure washing and so on..

But im seriously looking to expand on this cleaning service to include a janitorial maintenance business, this way during winter everything is peachy.

Also, a pool service with a partner/employee.

And next year i wanna purchase some vending machines... And have my sister maintain the route for a lil extra $ for her

Definitely want more things going on to maximize the people i interact with on a daily basis, to bring more money, grow my businesses all together.

Pool services I hear do really well, guess its hard just getting the customers and the massive rush during opening and closing.

On a side note, how are you power washing homes?

I do my 40 / week fixing pinball games and jukeboxes, have a few candy machines, and the carpet cleaning.

When I get financing to get a house / shop, I hope to keep my condo for rental income as well.

I spent a few minutes today fixing for the first time our gumball machine, it was clogged big time with broken gumballs. Every kid on the whole block came up asking for one. Good PR so I just gave a whole bunch out.

Surprisingly its great, consistent money!

One is an ice cream pie business I have been doing for years. Since deciding on going into cleaning full time I have let that business kind of die down as I make a lot more in an hour of cleaning than I do making pies. I actually am down to only one account for the pie business and I only spend about 4 hours every other week on it.

My other business is actually something new. I will PM you about it.

I'm part owner of a retail store that sells only products made in Manitoba and R/O water outlet.
I'm also involved with a buying group ( twelve individuals) that buys land or property in my home town of Beausejour.
We have done quite well with a few deals over the last ten years.
The store I'm involved with is on a silent partner level. A friend of mine was looking for some start up capital and I helped with that. I receive a small cheque monthly from the store, with the buying group I can be paid out when I want.

I have several cleaning solutions , brick & masonry, concrete, wall wash... From sunbrite supply.
I charge $1 per foot (length)

I clean motor homes more than anything because i have a client who owns around 600 mobile homes.

Homes as far as cleaning it..
I spray my cleaning solution, bottom up. Let it dwell. I scrub the sides lightly with a brush for autos. And rinse twice with soft water.
I add wax for the sidings, if applicable.

I'm no expert on this. I just do the best to my knowledge.

We want more than we have, that's for sure. Both the wife and I are entrepreneurs. She a programmer though, and hasn't been able to turn what she does into a deliverable package that she can train and turn key. So she, in effect, owns a job. One without benefits or security...

Then there's carpet cleaning and the related services. That is becoming a business that runs turn key, but it's going to take a while for that to fully flesh out.

Seeing as we are early 40's... I feel the pressure of not having those things that come with a corporate job, but remain focused on the end goal of having something that stands on its own.

I like your laundry mat ideas (jaymark1 ), and other ideas that I wouldn't have to be there daily. We've considered rental properties, but know you can loose your butt with bad tenants. (I clean up after enough of them!!)

I like a business that either has customers on contract, like pool service, yard service, maid service... or has a package that can be sold repeatedly, like software or a book.

1) wife with a full time job
2) construction
3) cleaning
4) 2 rental properties and fixing the home I live in
5) car repair
6) stock market(very small amount I play with)

In that order, not killing it in any particular area, but making ends meet.

How about a porn site that also delivers cigarettes and alcohol?

That's bound to be a winner for a secondary income stream.

Now I am going to have to scratch that off my list of ideas. ;)

I've always wanted to own a liquor store and a bar. Near impossible to get the liquor store license I've found..

My buddy ran an Irish Pub in the Kankakee, IL area. Said every year they set a buyout number, and if anyone came along they would cash out...

He lives in Ireland now, cashed out over a year ago. Semi retired at 43.
