We want more than we have, that's for sure. Both the wife and I are entrepreneurs. She a programmer though, and hasn't been able to turn what she does into a deliverable package that she can train and turn key. So she, in effect, owns a job. One without benefits or security...
Then there's carpet cleaning and the related services. That is becoming a business that runs turn key, but it's going to take a while for that to fully flesh out.
Seeing as we are early 40's... I feel the pressure of not having those things that come with a corporate job, but remain focused on the end goal of having something that stands on its own.
I like your laundry mat ideas (
jaymark1 ), and other ideas that I wouldn't have to be there daily. We've considered rental properties, but know you can loose your butt with bad tenants. (I clean up after enough of them!!)
I like a business that either has customers on contract, like pool service, yard service, maid service... or has a package that can be sold repeatedly, like software or a book.
