I use Bio-break and I add a little Hydrocide in my pre-spray. Most of the time the stains and odor are gone once I rinse the area. If that doesn't solve the issue then I present my pet stain packages. USR, water claw/injection or pad removal.
Curious: when you add it to your prespray, do you use a pump sprayer or hydroforce.

Here is a look at my Val Pak ad for next month.

Few tweeks left before we finalize it and sent it off to print. We have till Monday at noon.

We have ran ads 25 consecutive months now. Adding new zones every few months.
Not sure where you are located, but 800 sq ft for 89...how do you make money at that. I do not understand the lowball (no offense intended as I do not know your market) approach. 85 is my minimum.

thumbtack has bit the big one for me....
I signed up for thumbtack and get emails consistently. Problem is, how do you bid based on their system. Havent figured out yet if you purchase the points or earn them. Also, no category for carpet cleaning, get mostly housecleaning calls. Suggestions?

He's not lying. Didn't. He just take over his dad's business that was already established? If so...of course he's busy after the first 30 days.

You're right. I didn't think of that.

For most the 5 year rule comes into play. Takes time for something to gain momentum. Business is no different.

I help my husband run his service business and it took us six months before we started making money worth talking about. Here are the steps we took to get new business and so far this has been enough nearly 0 cost advertising to get us busy enough that we're now hiring a helper.
  • We create new ads on Craigslist at least 2x weekly and update the before/after pics so it's not the same ad over and over.
  • We visit networking groups and belong to BNI which gives us week after week exposure to the same people who get to know us and refer business to us.
  • We also leave behind a gift (some great smelling cleaner) with a sticker including after care instructions and our contact information. This makes it easy for them to locate our contact info to refer family/friends.
  • We ask EVERY customer to leave a Yelp and/or Kudzu review. I recently had my carpets cleaned and the cleaner offered to send me a Starbucks card if I'd take the time to leave a review at 2 or more of his review sites. Being a Starbucks junkie (and he's a client of mine so of course want to help him out) I did the reviews and promptly received a hand written thank you card with the Starbucks. This made him memorable to me and I'll use him and refer him to friends/family.

One more tip I picked up from one of my answering service clients... He has a six month marketing plan in Service Monster. Every month my reception team calls his clients that last had service six months prior and asks if they are ready for their next service. If you want a quick way to drum up some repeat business, just ask for it!

Im starting over and keep telling myself ...the first time I started it was a year that it really kicked in...my first years customers called the second year and made a nice base added to the new years cutomers....its always growing

I started over and thats what Im holding on to this time, it's not as hard because I have lots of people who remember me and call. Tough out a year or 18 months at least to see whats really going on.
