I had just that, I got Astro a few years ago with 85 K miles, so I didn't have to invest to engine or the trannny and yes, I operated it with a genset. I was able to fit Escape in it, with a 65 gal. over the wheel well fresh water tank and all the tools . Chemical rack was on top of fresh water tank and I had some shelves located in between front seats and Escape. I did miss vacuum reel though, but I always rolled my vacuum hoses neatly next to the genset, so no big deal.To me it's more than worthless. It would cost me more time and money by a land slide then just buy brand new. My customers rely on us way to much and we rely on them way to much. Out of the question.
I'd rather buy an astro van 1k, put a brand new motor and trans 4k and an etm with back up genie then buy something like that.
I missed a 0 it is an extra 100000miles on van engine.I've been told by a dealer that it's more like 30 to 50mph. Which would mean you have an extra 10000miles on van. 297000miles in total. I would guess it has little life left. If you do it it best be cheap. Like real cheap. Because the van ran its entire life...everything starts to go. I had a cleanco and it was great up till its half life. Then it wasn't. (Note the cleanco unit still is ok. The van broke down)![]()
Nothing comes close. I'd rather have a reliabuilt than any big name brand anyday. No sensors or motherboards to go bad, stupid easy to maintain. Not gonna find a more reliable machine.just look at it from the side. We are so fast now with gassers we can absolutely fly. "Last guys took 3 hours you guys are done in 1 hour wow and it looks way better than last time"How are those reliabuilts? Been mulling over ditching my etm for a gas powered unit. Etm has been great but now that we do power washing too my van is just getting too full of equipment Need a gas TM for smaller footprint I think.
Our stories are pretty similar I had an astro with a hillbilly etm alsoI had just that, I got Astro a few years ago with 85 K miles, so I didn't have to invest to engine or the trannny and yes, I operated it with a genset. Putting all that in Chevy Express 2500 made all difference, but getting rid of Escape and putting in fuel fired TM unit sitting on top of 100 gallon SS waste tank allowed me to increase my production times , over all power and length of vacuum hoses.
Relia-built made that possible for me!!!
Astro setup is in the last pic...
Yeah reliability seem like great investment. But from speed perspective I’m wondering how?Nothing comes close. I'd rather have a reliabuilt than any big name brand anyday. If you have a Gen it wont speed you up as much, if running wires ya for sure. Its all about getting a system down, also when you run 2 man crews you got about 3x as fast. Like you could run 2 vans instead of 4 or 5.Yeah reliability seem like great investment. But from speed perspective I’m wondering how?
in the beginning my hillbilly etm (Astro, air hog, gen) was at times very cumbersome. But these days under most circumstances I’m set up pretty fast.
So, how has it sped you up so much?
Curious what your using for a Pressure washer set up? Are you doing mostly driveways or?How are those reliabuilts? Been mulling over ditching my etm for a gas powered unit. Etm has been great but now that we do power washing too my van is just getting too full of equipment Need a gas TM for smaller footprint I think.
do you have seperate reel w/ 3/8?I have a 13hp pressure washer 3600psi 5gpm. 16inch surface tool. Driveways, softwashing, sidewalks. Rural area so bit of everything in small amounts
Mr. King could you link up with me by email. I would like to get your take on Reliabuilt TM [email protected]To me it's more than worthless.
