HOS Orbot or Windsor Taz?

Just heard from a guy at ORBOT (see his email below)... that HOS private labels the Orbot for Windsor, and calls it the Taz. I checked Waxie Supply, and they do, indeed, carry it for $3,463.92, much less than $4,300 for the HOS Orbot. The presentation video shows the machine and all the details are pretty much identical.

Thanks for your interest in the Orbot. Waxie carries the Karcher private label version of the SprayBorg called the TAZ. It is an identical machine apart from their grey color. <END>


MY QUESTION:
Has anyone bought the Taz, and are you able to truly tell if they are the same? For an $800 difference in price, I am concerned whether the Taz is perhaps made a little cheaper (component-wise)... OR Waxie can simply sell for that much less, given their negotiating power with Orbot compared to an Excellent Supply, for instance.

I know Jason. If he says the two machiens are dientical, then they are. I have been told the same by HOS / Orbot folks. Sometimes the volume of sales and your business model allows one company to sell for less. There are also other factors. There may also be price differences due to what accessories are included. SOmetimes a machine is packaged with the weight kit, different brushes and so forth. So, the machine si identical but the package of options may be different.

BTW - Interlink Supply has the HOS Orbot and Gravity machines at a couple of locations. We can also order these in for you at a better price than $4300.

The GRavity is similar to the Orbot / Sprayborg except that it does not have the spray system. Instead the gravity machine has a gravity feed through a shwoerfeed brush. Price is under $3,000.

I hope to have the HOS machines in many of our Interlink locations in the next few months. I have been very impressed with it after using it not just on demos but a few large real life projects. (Sometimes it seems like it takes forever to get anything accomplished in a big organization.)

I have a couple of HOS machines here in Salt Lake City that were used rfor demos. Special deal tot he first ones who want them. You would need to pick up here or pay shipping.

I don't know the cost of shipping to Alaska. I would have to look into that when I get a few minutes.

List Price on the Sprayborg machine is $4250. We can give 15% discount which would be $3612.50. This includes the spray system.

For the Gravity machine, list price is $2950. This is available for $2600.

Both machines have only been used in our showroom and only demo'd on our showroom carpet. Either comes with same warranty as new unit.

Shipping determined by Zip code and other factors. I just picked downtown Anchorage as a spot in Alaska. Exact price would be different if you live somewhere else.

Price will depend upon the dimensions of the package as well as the weight. If you decide to order additional brushes for tile & grout or stone or such or if you order the weight kit for polishing stone or if you get some bonnets or whatever else, That can change the size as well as the weight of the package.

These would be delivered by freight truck. This assumes there is loading dock or someplace similar the truck can acess and unload. There may be additional fee if they can not easily get a truck to your location or if they need to have extra help to unload the machine.

Thank you Scott. I source through my local Interlink affiliate for nearly everything, and they are fantastic people. From equipment, tools and chems, they are my go-to. This machine through Waxie though seriously has my attention. Hopefully Interlink will negotiate serious discounts with a Orbot, given Interlink's size and reach.
