The Eclipse looks nice but is around 2.5 times the price of any in my list. The Nautilus and Jaguar are somewhere around 3.5 times the price of any in my list and probably 3 times the size.

Is that to say a smaller sized (similar to those in the list), high quality extractor for around $1,000 does not exist? Is the entry point really $2,000 plus? Not really the answer I'm hoping for but if that's reality, that's reality.

The machines you are considering are all for spot removal, not for cleaning larger areas of carpet. An entry level machine will be $2,000. A good machine will be in the $3,000 to $4,000 range.

I agree that the Nautilus and machines from Cross America are top quality machines.

How long has that water hog been around? Thats more bang for your buck then the (boat anchor) water otter.

This new Mytee 7304 Water Hog Pressure Sprayer has not been out very long.

You no like the Water Otter ? Steambrite shows the Mytee hog using the same pump/motor. Thought it would have been a General or a Cat but its not.
Only have used the Water Otter 4 times but it performed very well as long I went step by step and didnt starve it .

I like it. Just not the way it comes. I saw Bob Savage's and liked thst one. He has chem meter on his.
I just built my otter into this. It auto fills through dema (slow but keeps up) into tank. Then pump is gravity fed.
Works great but is heavy and much larger then that mytee unit.

Wonder if the Hog is setup to recirculate ? It can get very hot QUICK in an enclosed box.
Idk. I always thought mytee ran the bypass back to its solution tank. Or maybe they have a thermal relief that goes back to tank. Should have one at least. Because if you set your wand down to work on a spot it can build heat pretty fast.

I guess a bypass at the wand would work when using customers tap ? Thinking outloud for my setup.
What type of water filter are you using ? Always have floaties in my fresh water tank . Do Have the intake a couple inches of the bottom.

2 garden hose screens coming in to keep crap out of dema. (Beware of packing in spigots they sometimes blow through hose and clog things up). And a standard mushroom filter found in most carpet extractors. I did have one for garden hose pressure washer type but it exploded lol. Idk i must of banged it or just vibrated on the concrete.

Sorry yes that will work bypassing at your wand. It will keep replenishing pump with cooler water. Also isnt that how some guys do it to keep solution in hose as hot as possible? So theres constant instant heat.

@JRH after looking at the Ashby's Enforcer, it's great design, well thought out functionality and compact form it is definitely the finest portable out today. Bolt 2 LX's in it, an AF/pumpout and your done.
Id like to try the LX for sure , few months back , i bluffed my way onto a the uk Ametek trade/wholesale supplier and ordered Ten 6.6 and a pair of 8.4 at half retail prices ...along with six 6.6 i was already useing in various machines ...il be a while getting through my spares
didnt bother with factory apo ... might get it on next enforcer
btw ... heres something popular in the uk but iv never seen it with you guys ... this vid (its not me ), its not pumpout despite the title , its just simple gravity empty ... check valve attached to wastegate ... remote control from upstairs or where ever u are . Might not suit many but no amps used in the empty .
