Hey guys Aaron here , well been at it for around 3 years now , been great , made a lot of money. I invented a company to beat the franchise guys and I did it !! I have most of the real estate contracts in our area , I only post on fb , create deals, sales, competitions , giveaways for carpet cleaning and I make sure I do one hell of a job . My little trooper though the ninja 500 , what a machine , I bought all my gear second hand and I’ve broken it more times than I care to want to remember. Pump heads , vac motors, god dam wiring , I’ve rewired it quote a few times now and changed a few things to make it easier to fix on the job like quick connect cords. If one breaks I open it up , unplug from the main loom and plug another straight in and keep going , I had the 1850w external heater for a few years and I finally gave up and bought the mytee turbo , what a difference it made. I’m almost financially ready to go up To the truck mount yay I’m super excited , nope not here to see what everyone recommends because there are plenty of threads to read all by myself lol , just wanted to say hi and the good experience I’ve have had with my little portable, it’s wearing out that bad the bottom cracked , patched it up with an aluminium street sign that wasn’t being watched so it came home with me for urgent repairs , great site enjoy the threads and one thing is for certain , no way I’d ever buy a second hand TruckMount , my local guy stocks all the top brands from the states and hands all the parts etc in stock and ready to roll , off to see him tomorrow to talk about things. I love cleaning carpets , my customers are great , and I take so much work from the overpriced franchise guys. Happy cleaning guys !!

Ninjas are brutally tough units. I've seen one bounce out of the back of a pickup truck at highway speed and survive. They are by far my favorite portables and I have been known to say that a true pro with a porty can outclean a beginner with a truckmount easily.

Hi Aaron, seems like you are really really busy. Does Facebook really works? I am learning how to advertise there effectively. Any tips? I know things will be different with your current situation but still want to hear about it.

The only one that survived bad fall off the pickup truck was AZ's portable and he was bragging about it, later changed the tune and blame reputable manufacturer for all his troubles.
I had 3 Ninjas in my possession for short period of time, maybe that was the reason I didn't developed " love " for them. Wheels were falling off, I didn't care for dual 2 stages motors, boxy, unappealing look. That's just me. The best, ergonomically, mechanically and lightweight mean machine was by far Mytee Speedster 1005 HV with a Lamb dual 3 stage motors in series with a double stack, 500 psi pump , just 90 lbs. I was able to use it as a backup when my ETM got on fire( twice) while cleaning 10 K sqf of cgd. Portable is 17 years old a still works with original el. harness( it has second owner now) With slow passes, I was able to use up to 90' of vacuum hose. I just didn't find another brand with so amazing cfm and lift , weight and maneuverability. I've owned minimum of 10 portable units and I don't see my self out clean TM under any scenario.
When I warm up my TM and walk in the house with injection sprayer at the end of 100' of solution line, water temperature changes from lukewarm to hot in less than 5 minutes.
I don't want to get in technicalities, but you can imagine what steps I'd be taking with a portable unit. I wasn't stranger to dragging portable 4 stories high with no breaks taken on landings. I'm just depicting my own experience and expressing my opinions
Others may have worked under different scenarios and worked under ideal conditions where they had outlets with 20 amps available and got their fresh water intake and dumping dirty water under perfect control, electrical cords management including.

I think I’ve had my portable in all scenarios also !! There’s no where it hasn’t been and it runs 8 hours a day 6 days a week. No job too big or too small I’ve had to carry water hundreds of meters to do jobs . But the job got done and they are very loyal customers now. I’ve actually just this morning bought a tm and van from a guy a few towns over , all with full service history since new. One thing I’m not going to say is the tm brand lol , we have too many loyalists here so I’ll keep it to myself and make my own mind up when I pick it up Saturday. 10k nzd for the whole set up I’m a happy man. Just now allows me to finally employ someone to take the work load off me , and I wouldn’t employ someone and give them the portable , it’s a great machine but I know it’s sounds etc and I’m fine with it. Tm is a very big brand name , only a couple of years old . And parts etc are readily available in my area.

I went to check it and after a 5 hour drive I get there , he seems to not know a thing about it , starts it up and waiting for it to heat up ......and nothing , waiting for at least 35 mins and it wouldn’t get hotter than my piss !!!! Heat exchanger was stuffed so walked away fast from that , but I have purchased!!!! Well it’s similar to the mytee escape.....ish , I now own a Razorback balboa 700 dual heat machine , auto fill and apo , vac booster box , wands etc everything I could possibly need and will be van mounted . Now to help the situation along , this is how I’ve got hot water before when jobs haven’t had any .... an electric 9v califont out of an r.v , mounted on the wall of my van , straight plugged up to a garden Hose and as soon as water flow starts the califont fires up from a gas bottle and instant hot water into the machine , so currently setting it all up in the van , it’s an Australian built unit which has good reviews. Will post pics once in and running

I’ll be heating the water using the califont into the machine via autofill , it has an intank heater as well as an in-line heater , if it doesn’t keep up I also have a mytee turbo I can plug in to get even more heat but with the way I’m setting it up today it should be fine , I’ll post the link to the video so u can see it

There was a little giant # 3 on trademe for $1200 the other day.. be easier/better than the califont and ya definitely wouldn’t need the mytee hot turbo

I just went and hunted that down. Could be an idea , I’m going to need a bigger van , the hiace is almost full already lol
I really don’t think I’d need something like that , that califont pumps out a nice flow at 55 degrees, and then the Razorback has an in tank heater and a 1850w in-line heater also , I’ll give it a test but from what I have previously done it should be fine . Be as hot if not hotter if required than tap hot water and the in-line should keep up .
