    Help Please

I found this Lowboy LB8000 on ebay its was in very good condition. I had a local metal fabricator make the swingarm at the back, thanks to Paul Brown for the idea, and bought a glide. I've been using it for encapping and padcapping and while its a hundred times easier to use than it was, with the swingarm and glide, its still pulls abit to the side and has a certain amount of vibration which is tiring on long jobs.

Any suggestions to make easier to control and less tiring on long jobs would be greatly appreciated.

Generally you should not need to put any effort into moving the machine around. It's all about keeping the machine balanced, tip it foreword just a little to move the machine to the left and tip it back just a little to move the machine to the right.

When you lower the handle down make sure it's down around your waist area, you should have your arms straight down and fully extended when using the machine. If the handle is up too high it's going to be hard to control the machine.

Those machines are designed to move side to side like that. You are trying turn one machine into something it wasn't designed to be. You need an OP machine like the vibe or cimex.

Is that an OP machine, not a rotary?
I looked at the part exploded view and it seemed to be an OP. Did I look at the wrong machine?

Are you trying to walk behind it and push it foreward?

    Hi

Yes its an OP machine not a rotary the lowboy is I believe the starting point for Excellent Supply's Vario machine I was looking to try and improve mine to make it as easy to use as that.

Have you tried a glide in center of bonnet? I dont know if it will help or not but worth a try. Its basically a flat round furniture mover with velcro on it.

The beating assembly may be warped affecting the op movement

Hate to say this but now you know why they sold it. You may have to get used to the vibration but changing bonnets may help your ease of movements a bit.
Did you speak to the manufacture about it to see if they offer a solution?

    Hi

Used Red and green pads and Green Stripe Bonnets and Microfibre bonnets. Its the brush driver.

    Same result with all

Rob and BonnetPro going to speak to Oreck see if I can get replacement bearing.

    Thanks to all who replied.
