I am going to be starting a pay per click campaign, can you guys who have had success with this possibly help me in things that would be useful for me to have a successful campaign and things to stay away from. Now I understand that you may not want to give this information out to everyone and if so I would appreciate, if you don't wish to give this information out to everyone could you possibly instant message me, but that being said I'm sure everyone would be all ears to any useful tidbits that you could give and thank you in advance.

From my limited knowledge......

Have unlimited campaigns for every key word have a seperate campaign. With it own matching headline

Campaign 1

Headline: New York carpet cleaners
Key word: New York carpet cleaner

Campaign 2

Headline: New York sofa cleaners
Keyword: New York sofa cleaners

Campaign 3

Headline: New York tile cleaning
Keyword: New York tile cleaners

Etc..etc....etc...

This will increase you quality score so will lower the bid price.

Set you geographical boundaries to the area you cover, so your advert does not show all over the country, it makes my laugh that I see Stanley Staemer adwords and I live the the UK!! Will they travel 4000miles? If your budjet is 50$ it will last a day if all of Texas see your advert.

Lads of info on t'internet best just search and read

I have had a bit of good and a bit of bad with adwords. Try to make sure the keywords you are paying for you rank high for. To rank higher for a keyword make sure your content contains your keywords in a natural way and that will also help your ad relevancy. The better you rank for a keyword and ad the higher you will be placed and the lower you will have to pay. Good luck to you!

Very good advice. I see to many companies not set geographical boundaries and really ticks me off having to compete with a company that doesn't cover my area. So naturally my CPC goes up because of this.

I use adwords and they seem to work well for me.

As others have said, be very specific. You want to drive customers, not traffic. I don't want people clicking my link to see what I am. I want them to know that before they cost me a couple dollars :p

Set the geo boundaries. Only use keywords that actually apply to you. Basically the same stuff others have said.

What is your website? It may be more important for you to have that updated first.

The more you learn about Adwords the farther you can take your click dollars. If you hire a specialist a small firm may do you better. Large SEO and Adwords companies might put you on the back burner if you have a small budget of, let's say, $1000 - $3000 per month. You'll need a good website for a good ROI.

Roof cleaning is our #1 service. Our ad campaigns are broken down by types of roofs: asphalt shingle, cedar and slate. The ads for those keywords are broken down even smaller by moss, black staining, lichen, etc. We are targeting specific searches and long tail keywords. "Roof cleaning in New Jersey" is a broad keyword and I'll pay $3-$4 for that click. But if someone Googles "slate roof moss removal New Jersey", I have an ad that targets that search and will average $1.50 per click. Those savings ad up fast!

The more specific you are with your key word and ads the less you'll pay per click. Google will reward you by giving the searcher exactly what they're looking for.

There is so much real estate for Google Adwords. Learning solid basics can take you a long way over your competition. I received a level 1 Adwords certificate and it was money well spent.

Here is a great example for you:

If you are going to do set a campaign for Carpet Cleaning, do not put Tile Cleaning as any of your keywords. Make sure that carpet or cleaning is in everyone of your keywords. This will help your ad relevancy. Start your bid off very, very low and let it run for a week. See how many impressions vs. clicks that you receive. If you dont receive any, up your bid 25 cents only. Repeat this process.

The biggest thing with Adwords is that many people want as many clicks as possible and they do not input any negative keywords. Negative keywords are very important for you. If someone types in How to Use a Carpet Cleaning Machine and they click on your ad, you will most likely pay for something that will never make you any money. This is a negative keyword that you must input in google adwords account. You can see exactly what people are typing in when they click on your ad under google Analytics account. I am been doing seo for a few years now so I am pretty good with it.

my advice is any keywords related to carpet cleaning put in one campain as later when you have conversions the more you have in 1 campain the better conversion optimizer works track all conversions and i mean all 100% from email me button click to call all forms click to chat and even all calls (for calls use a call tracking company) . So because its a very high competition business you can expect topay up to 20$ per click so thats why 100% control over conversion will save you a lot of money and bring a lot of work. try to bid low on +carpet +cleaning keyword and remove all negatives slowly. so dont bid too high at start but when a keyword gives you at leas 2 conversions with a low cost then you can bid high dont worry . Bidding high on a keyword that brings conversion will bring you work and with time if you make clicktrhough rate higher than 5% in my situation will rise your quality score wich will lower the price per click and dont be afraid to win the competition if you really give high quality on your carpet cleaning than you will succeed pls trust me !

What do you pay per click? How big is your company?

FB ads are great for carpet cleaning. You can create an ad and target certain zip codes. Your ad will start appearing on Mrs Smith's newsfeed down the street. It's cheap
