Hey new here, just starting out wanted to start small maintain my current job.

So I purchased a Sandia Sniper 12 Gallon Commercial Carpet Extractor 500 PSI 3 Stage Fan with Heat 80-3500-H.

With that I would also like to do car cleaning, and was wondering what type of generator would work with this machine?

I know it is a two plug machine and with the heat on it could trip a breaker if on the same breaker.

Any help would be great thank you.

You will want at least a 5000 watt generator. That will give you 40 amps at 120volts. Most that size provide 2 20amp circuits or you can wire up a box to use the 240volt plug and only have one cord. Make sure it outputs 5000 watts continuous and not peak

Cheapest and best option would be harbor freight predator...probably overpowered for your application, but MUCH better than underpowered. The 13hp model with

I run two vac motors off a 9 HP generator, 5000w max, 4500 continuous. It will just hum along all day, no problem. I've even run three off it and it will do it, but I wouldn't push it that hard often at all.

You can use this math to get close then round up to next size generator.

Add up total watts of machine both cords together. Then take that number say its 3500w example. So 3500 divide .80 = 4375w. If that were the case youd go for at least a 4500 or more running watt generator.

Generators are also advertised with 50% draw not 80%. So it will burn gas a little faster then stated on box.

Hello, new to the forum I would like to know what option generator you went with? I bought the same sandia sniper you described. I bought a duromax 5500 peak generator but the machine keeps making the breaker go off. Was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions. I was thinking just get my refund and get a bigger generator.

If one outlet is 20 amp and the other outlet is 15 amp, you should put the cord with pump and vac on the 20 amp.
