I use my cimex with bonnet pads after cleaning but I found that they soil way to fast. I am thinking of getting a 175 for commercial post bonnet cleaning and I am going to start cleaning wood and stone. interlink has a versa pro machine that you can change out the sizes and add weight to it. What do you guys think of this? Also what a good bonnet pad to use for post bonneting? thanks.

so the buffer is good when your going to do the two step process you mentioned above. As far as op it sounds like it is a good idea to have a HWE just in case. But then again i know very little about op. The information i am seeking is literally whether or not an op machine can be used to clean carpets on its own, NO back up!
Also i have read posts where people claim to op with buffer 175 rpm.

thanks

You can't OP with a buffer. If it doesn't oscillate you can't oscillating pad.

Other than that, you can clean with what ever you have. Some machines clean faster than others. Some are easier to operate than others. Find someone with both and see what each does.
