Flooded elevator

Emptied the bottom of an elevator today it was filled with water from a slab leak... was wondering if anybody has had a similar experience before? It was filled with a lot of water 4-500+ gallons idk I stopped counting after 5 or 6 trips (I don’t have a pump out I felt it today)

Dang! I've seen flooded elevator shafts. My high school was 3 floors and the elevator flooded about once a year. It was accessed from the outside walkways though so they just set up a bilge pump and drained it into the garden around the corner. I never thought there could be that much water in there though.

I have done one job like that. Two flooded elevator shafts on the same job. A sump pump / bilge pump makes pretty quick work of it and saves you time on the truckmount.

get a sump pump with a water hose connect.....
set it down in the water and run the hose to outlet.....
lowes or home depot......

100-200$.....
nice to have for such emergencies........
