Filter Cleaning Station?

Here’s a long shot: Anyone ever purchase or construct some kind of filter basket cleaning station? The idea is to utilize an outdoor workstation near the driveway and quickly and conveniently remove pet hair etc. from the vacuum filter baskets. I would like to clean the truckmount vacuum filters from a standing position and avoid making a mess on the ground. I usually hand extract clumps of hair and goop from the baskets by hand and then use the garden hose to get the filters nice and clean. I end up having to clean a wicked mess off the driveway afterwards.

Any ideas to streamline the filter cleaning process a little?

We use a 5 gallon bucket with holes drilled in the bottom and sides towards the bottomdrill the holes big enough for water to escape but not the chuncks of lint and hair set the filter basket on top or in it and spray off with a hose could use a smaller trash can as well if needing something bigger

I've seen this done before, neat! I need to quit blasting it out over the driveway and sweeping it up.

I have a Devastator with a 5 gallon paint strainer. usually that lasts all day but on long days, I do carry an extra strainer that I just swap out. No mess.

Now if your talking about the waste tank strainer, what I would suggest is just get a second strainer. When the first one fills up, just swap them out and put the used one in a plastic bag. When you get back to the shop at the end of the day, clean both of them out.

I would NEVER clean a strainer in a customers driveway. Yuck. so unprofessional

Thanks to all for responses! To clarify, this is for my own driveway back at the shop, not the customer’s driveway. After years of bending down and picking up filter garbage off the drivewayI figure there’s got to be a better way. I will try SRD’s suggestion.
