Before you choose propane or kerosene look around your town for the availability and costs of each. That will make a big difference. FW:IW propane is all around easier to get and use. And that's my opinion after using a kero unit for 17 years.

Dultmeir hot box will not fit in a regular roof full size van. 56 inches tall. I called them a few years back to see if they made a shorter one and the answer was no. If you have a medium or high roof van or a box truck it will fit. I would pay the little extra and get the 375,000 btu, 4 gpm one.

I know where you can get one 42 to 44 inches high but that is still pushing it. I'd be worried about melting the paint on the roof exterior and interior. I had one close to the ceiling for about a year and it did nothing to the paint but it is your decision.
