Is there anyway to clean residential air ducts without taking the air duct covers off? Or at least not take some of them off?

Floor duct covers are no problem, but those ceiling duct covers can be a huge pain. On large jobs especially we spend more time removing and installing duct covers than anything!!

I know they sell duct sealing covers. By blocking off vents, is it possible to pull debris backwards towards the mains with enough negative air?

Any help much appreciated!!

Specifically, I’m wondering if this product will enable me to avoid removing some duct covers by sealing all registers and pulling air through one open register back toward the trunk line.

This is a huge reason that I am not going to offer duct cleaning anymore, soon. I can't tell you how many jobs I have been on where I am literally spending like 3-4 hours re-installing ceiling diffusers that are almost IMPOSSIBLE to get back in once you take them out. Absolutely KILLS your neck too.
