Old thread! If you make $10 but spend $11 you will never be happy!!!!
Someone bumped it Bob and we decided to make it a sticky in the Mastermind section. Good advice here.

Money is not the least bit important to me. However, it seems to be extremely important to the people who have the goods and services I need to survive. So, I have to have it and the more of it I have, the more goods and services I can influence people to provide to me.

I love making money but there is a balance that is commensurate with happiness. Some people have structured their lives haphazardly, such that money becomes their tyrant and they are enslaved by it. This is not the road to happiness but rather, the road to sadness, stress and alcoholism etc.

Rob, you are correct about money attracting beautiful women. Even with what I have (Vipers, houses etc) it is easier for me to get women now than when I was in my 20's. Before some of you say,"Who wants those gold diggers?", realize that they are not all gold diggers but assets give you status in the female world. Women want leaders not followers and scrubs. I can only imagine what being a deep millionaire would be like but this is where I get off the money bus. Too much money is not good. If life becomes too easy and without challenges, it becomes stale. What is the joy of buying an exotic car if the cost is not even significant to you? I prefer to work for my assets and feel the accomplishment of my hard work.
I agree completely, I do believe balance is key!

Seems like the more money I have the more un easy I am about life, We don't hurt for a damn thing, but I was truly happier when I had nothing to loose!

No. In the big picture, it sure doesn't. I've done some traveling in some poor countries. I've met more content happy people who have dirt floors and very little to eat than in huge houses with wealthy people in them.

Money can make you happy but not in all cases.
Think it was David Siegal ( time share guy that lost a bundle in the last "panic" ) who said
" you're the same person , you just live in a better section of town " . Pretty much true though it can " change " some people and not for the better .
All the Best, Ed

Money doesnt change people, merely amplifies what's already there.

I was wondering why I have become so much nicer in last year or so.
One day I have to visit TMF headquarters to see true meaning of the statement. Usually people( guys) get much nicer when their spirituality, work and sex drive are in sync. No one wants to think that green is the color behind driving force towards success. Someone said money won't change you. I kindly disagree , it just happens gradually and in the process of happening, we tend to think, that we're staying the same. Wish full thought though..

I was being snarky Marian. However I would love for you to visit. No one has ever left not feeling like family. :)
