I have a 96 Dodge Ram van 2500 with a custom truck mount for sale. Van has 63k original miles and runs great. Comes with everything needed to start a business or add as a back up truck. Truckmount has a 25hp Subaru motor, roots 45 blower, hypro pump, single heat exchange, as well as a waste tank. Super basic but has plenty of power/suction and simple to maintain. Van has shelves, reels, hoses as well as water softener. Water softener is for motor homes and cheap only being around $300 or so but actually makes a difference. Comes with products, wands, as well as things for maintenance. Have quarts of hypro oil for the pump, grease for the blower, and blower oil. Truck mount doesn’t have an hour counter so it’s unknown how many hours are on her. I have used this van for 3 years for my side business which I do on weekends doing carpet and tile. It’s actually capable of running 2 wands but I usually just run 1 since it’s just me and sometimes my little brother. I work full time and have 3 kids all 2 and under and I am finally in a position to just work my 1 job and focus on my family...so I’m letting go of the business . Smog is due as well as registration. Only problems are the sliding door on the van wants to come off the track when opening (a little upward pressure keeps it on no problem) and the heat struggles. It can get 200+ degrees but that depends on how much throttle you use. I usually run it at aprox 30-50% throttle which is plenty of suction for me but only gets the heat up to around 160-180 degrees give or take. Any questions feel free to TEXT ME unless you’re a serious buyer then call me at (831) 917-1119. Price is $6000 firm which is lower than what I paid for it and a great deal all things considered.

Exactly and nope. 63,000. Low miles.
Wow, 2,520 miles per year, that's only 210 per month and just 8 per day. In order to achieve those low numbers you would have to actually plan this when it was bought back in 1996.
So you bought it 3 years ago and the TM was already in it. The reason I'm saying this is that you mention the hour meter is broken so you don't know the actual hours on the unit, is this correct?

I don't see anywhere where it says the hour meter is broke.
It says their is no hour meter on the unit so machine hours are unknown.
Many truckmounts are manufactured without hour meters.

Sorry, you're right about the TM not having an hour meter. Have not seen a TM in 30+ years with out a hour meter. All of the maintenance is scheduled by the hours first then run time.
So you didn't answer my question about when you purchased the van & TM, would love to know?

Yes when I bought it the truckmount was already installed and no the hour meter isn’t broken It doesn’t have one altogether. The guy I bought it from did pressure washing on driveways and commercial businesses and had this on the side for the occasion carpet cleaning. I got 3 babies all 2 and under so I decided to be home more and put her up for sale.

You will probably sell it but you will pressed to get 6k for it.
Not trying to discourage you but carpet cleaners are generally cheap. I think the problem you are going to have is trying to convince a potential buyer that the vans mileage is true without some documentation to back it up. You will be unable to address how may hours are on the blower, pump and engine. Even if you say "the oil has been changed on a regular basis" without hours it means nothing. The overall condition also speaks volumes like "if the machine shows signs of neglect or lacking maintenance then that could also impact the van engine, etc.
Good luck.

Good points. Pink slip states mileage as well as the dash. Just like buying anything used it’s a risk. I’ve bought “great” condition cars that took a crap on me within a month. I also bought a POS salvage title car that has been one of the best and most reliable cars I have owned. If someone wants to buy a business on wheels for under 10k in an industry with very little red tape and can do basic maintenance this would be a great deal. Depends on the person. For the price good luck finding anything under 200k miles in my opinion.
