Carpets not coming clean as you want? Prespray seem like it's just not strong enough? Mixing chemical concoctions to try and solve it? Carpets don't have a soft hand after your cleaning? You prob need softer water. Anyone know the 2 ways to soften your water? And or do you have a water softener?

Yes I use soft water. Very hard in my area with lime and calcium.
Water softner went on the fritz awhile back and noticed a difference.
Especially showering at home.... hate the feel of hard water on the skin.
Very few homes up my way don't use a softner.
I can use less chems and descale rarely and when I descale never bad.

Anybody use a proven system day in and day out? Im thinking about getting a house unit or a dependable van unit.

Nothing to see here :D
The water is fed from an outdoor tap into the top connector on the softener and the bottom connector is fed to the sub-mount tank quick connect. I see no reason why I can't install in the van at a later date and feed the water box direct from the customer's supply. I have a casino to do early next month so will have a test with their outdoor tap to the water box.
I've worked out I should get about 1000 litres per re-charge of 1.5 kg salt, just need to get a hardness testing kit to ensure the water out is still soft.
