Do you run 8-1 or 4-1 Hydroforce inline sprayer?

Do you run 8-1 or 4-1 inline sprayers? Many are not sure how to determine or switch their inline sprayer from 8-1 to 4-1. Made this picture to show it’s simple. Just pull the hose and unscrew the yellow metering tip. Less chemical and less waste of left over chemical. Also less clogging and inline lasts longer.

8-1 makes about 9g RTU
4-1 makes about 5g RTU

I have always used it 4-1, it makes it difficult to mix with 8-1.

I would choose 8-1 if I have used a liquid cleaner.

Personally never had an issue with my 8-1 setup. And my general daily prespray doesn't have any enzymes or oxidizers that go bad so even a day or two later I don't see any real noticeable difference in the cleaning results. That said if I have a job that needs that extra push I either mix what I think I need in the 8-1 or for smaller jobs just mix up a few gallons in the pump sprayer.

Is this the NEW math they are using in school today?
These figures would be correct if you only put 1 gallon of concentrate in the jug...but
Typical inline sprayer jugs either hold 5 or 7 quarts.

So the following RTU formulas are:

4-1 (5qt) = 6.25 gal
8-1 (5qt) = 11.25 gal

4-1 (7qt) = 8.75 gal
8-1 (7qt) = 15.75 gal

These are estimations because pressure, flow and heat effect the final outcome.

I like 8:1. I mix my solution pretty weak but get those fibers good and wet so I use most of a jug on every job.

Strong concentrated solution is great until it's drying before you even get the wand up.

HAVE TO HAVE A BACKUP
1 @ 4:1
1 @ 8:1
Normally use the 8:1
Quite often I’ll use the 4:1 in a Powerade bottle with acid - pet treatments etc
But depending on the size of the job
Big job I’ll use 8:1
Start of the day normally have 8:1
Last job of the day might switch to 4:1
Small job probably use 4:1

Beware Hydroforce Revolution are GARBAGE
They go out of adjustment quickly!
They also fail often, and will let you down in the middle of a job, when you are miles from anywhere

I’ve had 2 adjustable ratio Hydroforce Revolutions
They are both junk and I refuse to depend on another one!!!

Get a https://shop.truckmountforums.com - ***** billet Hydroforce block
Theres no chrome
So the chrome won’t burn and flake off.
Which means it will never(almost) go out of dilution.
Standard Hydroforce blocks will burn chrome too.
They will last a lot longer with a bristor billet Hydroforce jet/nozzle kit

I have 1 standard Hydroforce sprayer with an upgraded billet Bristor jet/nozzle that’s my 4:1 sprayer

I have 1 Hydro sprayer that I specced out with https://shop.truckmountforums.com billet block fully kit running @ 8:1, https://shop.truckmountforums.com stainless non drip jet for the gun/lance

Well said • all true. I run a ( DFB ), diésel fired TM. I can run just under 400* sustained. Stainless is the only hope of getting QD’s on / off after only a few jobs. Everything takes a bit at those temps. Things just melt. My HF‘s plastic sleeve, fitted just under the syphon cap ( for one way air flow ), melted & warped, blocking the flow. It took 35 min. to get that squared away.

- The metering knob is imposible to turn either direction / the little foam knob cover will not stay on when hot.
- the plastic syphon tube keeper ring • is a joke - not !
- yeah, that was the revamped version, too.

Anyone care to take a crack at the original challenge ?

Please show us pics. of the gear you’re using. I’ve never heard of some of the stuff you’re talking about. Where can we get it.

Best sprayer maybe u got a dud. Did you put a hydroforce tip on it?

40v or 20v? It sprays at 320 psi, hydro force is designed to be sprayed at 400 so its slightly less but much more direct chemical delivery with no excess water.

If you have urine jobs use the original adjustable tip on the shower setting and it will lay down enzyme or whatever you use into heavy urine spots really well.

Honestly we've been using inline for over 10yrs and I'm so glad to be mostly done with them. We keep one on the truck for emergencies.

Having an independent sprayer when your running 2 guys on a truck is a must imo it really speeds up the production.

You also know exactly how much actual Chem is going down, inlines can be hit or miss... they mostly work but u can sometimes spray a room and draw less.

I can walk into a 5-6 room job and be done pre spraying in approx 5min with the second guy already on the CRB or already almost done running hoses if we aren't scrubbing.

Never have to worry about pre spraying with a smoking hot solution line or residual rinse in the line.... no hose in the way when pre vacuuming or CRBing

Can swap straight to protector and spray, or swap to wool safe for main floor rugs.
