I inherited three Cross-American machines that need some work.
-(1) Predator Recoil 3XPS
-(2) Jaguar Cubs

Are these "good" machines? Are they worth fixing up? Or would I be better off investing in something new(er)?

Our Jaguar cub served us well for the last 5 years. We've operated with a portable only for a long time and the cub's narrow track + proportions made it unstable at times but it's power to weight ratio was hard to argue with. So easy to lift out of the van. I think we went through one vac motor and one pump/regulator in the years of abuse we put it through. As we shift to a full TM this winter I will be designing in a space on the custom van shelving for our cub for sure.

Hope that helps

Rebuild the Recoil . I would use different vacuum motors. It has a 500 psi Pumptec pump which is rebuildable. Depending on which vacuum motors you put in you can clean with well over 100ft of 2 inch vacuum hose on it . I wouldn’t worry about the 3rd motor. Just need 2 high performance 2 or 3 stage vacuum motors. I used to be a dealer for them.
