Cheapest way to ship a item??

If you have a account with a shipper you get a discount on volume.
If no account, you pay full price,
Find a shipping out let like a UPS store, I think they pack it and ship it for 10% more then a cost as doing it your self. Not sure about skid shipping

Firstly have it packed properly. boxes add up if they have to use 2 big ones that's about $30. I just shipped a wand for $100 and the boxes cost me $50 he had to use 3 to make it safe. I was paying for convenience. Dearly.... Old dominion does a good job. you can pick up at terminal and save more. pretty much any of them is like that. but you dont wanna buy boxes from a packing store.
Yep, shipping is very expensive . Shippers have already started making some moves that will take even more money from everyone's pocket . Despite the fact fuel prices are much lower they have consistently raised prices. The size and weight (most likely a pallet for the portable alone ) will be lots of money . Let us know Paul how much it ends up being .

The extractor is too big to ship by either ups or Ground fed X. You will have to use a freight company and put it on a pallet. Expect to pay close to $300. They can strap the powerwand onto the pallet also. You will want to pick it up at the terminal as they will charge you another 25 to 50 to deliver to your house where you do not have a loading dock.

Try uship.com, get the dimensions and weight of the items being shipped, pictures are a plus, post your shipment on uship and shippers will bid for you to choose their services.
when i sold my extractors on ebay, i boxed them up and shipped with UPS Ground. I do remember the extractor cost about $130 to ship
Dont EVER use uship to ship anything. Uship doesn't scan their brokers and lots of illegal carriers and scammers riddle that site. You would get someone bid to ship everything for SC to CA for $150 and you be tempted. I created an account and i with fake info and i was bidding on $20,000 cars right away and felt bad for those who use this site seriously.
If you found a legit broker on uship, it will cost you about the same as if you used a freight company elsewhere.

I've used uship many times, never had a problem. I only accept bids from shippers with good reviews, some include insurance for goods being shipped, I've found it to be a very reliable service at affordable rates.
