Do you like your balls? Recently another cleaner bought into the new pretty little cheap Chinese solution hose. It blew while he was standing by his machine. Burned his privates and he’s out work for months with nasty burns. Moral of the story: If you love your balls avoid cheap Chinese hose. Take a shortcut on anything but don’t take it on solution hose. Every month we get reports cleaners with 2nd & 3rd degree burns from hoses. (See our massive Carpet Cleaning Injuries thread)
There’s a reason why it’s cheaper, bleeds color on carpet while cleaning, weighs so much less, the much skinnier hose is incompatible with most
hydraulic hose fittings and you don’t get a proper “bite” when crimping it on. Many have a poor bending radius strength, kinks near fittings, higher temperature loss and not able to handle higher pressure/temps that many truckmounts deliver. Ticking time .

Disclaimer:The ball pic is not available. However a pic i received couple weeks ago of another cleaner who was also standing by his unit severely burned his stomach right above his balls. Use your imagination.

 One for the injury thread for sure.
Avoiding cheap crap goes for everything we buy. They are turning out cheap inferior crap by the boat load. And in tough times people are pinching pennies. Slamazon and ebay are plagued with the cheap junk. Many times even resembling premium tools. Everything from toys to safety equipment. Lots of crap clones out there now. And the lower price is enticing to those in hard times. Unfortunately there are consequences.

I have always been of the opinion not to push things to their limit. The funny thing, the one and only hose I've ever had that really blew badly on me was rated for 300 degrees and it was not a cheap hose. On a good day, my machine might make 240 if nature helps me out. I trust a couple of brands that are only rated for 250 degrees and 3,000 psi. When they say 250 they MEAN 250!! They must over-test these hoses for safety would be my speculation. When these hoses do rupture it is almost always just a pinhole leak, not a blast of superheated water flying everywhere. I hope that guy is ok, I know that had to be really painful and it will be for a while to come. Btw, if any of you guys don't think even 200 degrees is REALLY hot, just stick your nuts in it for a second. You'll change your mind super quick.
