This may have been covered but I’m new here and don’t know where to look to find it. My husband and I clean the carpets in a chain of theaters and restaurants in 5 different states and some are not in the greatest areas. We don’t get started till 11-midnight and can easily not get out till the sun is up! Both theaters and restaurants have a no gun policy, but does that refer to us late night workers as well? Or are we allowed to carry since the business is closed and no one is there? I can’t get a straight answer on this so I thought I’d ask here!

You would need to ask the managers/owners of the establishments. If you are legally carrying concealed and it is the establishments policy to not have guns in there business then they can ask you to leave. Although if no one is there and its only you two, i don’t see how the establishment would even know. Just make sure to follow your state laws and whatever other states you go to laws in regards to concealed carry.

Depends on local and state laws. They can say "no guns". But its unenforceable. Place is closed. Ide carry concealed. If you happen to need it. Will they jump to your rescue lol. No they wont. You're there late and alone. If you happen to use it in self defence. And they fire you? At least you're still alive to see another day. If you follow their rules and something happens to you? They'll just hire someone else.

Hi, also keep in mind you said you service in 5 states. You need to be have a permit for all the states you service. unless they have cross carry agreements with the other states you service. If you are stopped by law enforcement, you want to be sure you are within the laws of each state. Not worth going to jail or fines for not following the law.

I am a USCCA member and they have a great map on their site that gives you the laws in every state. Take a look at it and see for yourself. I can't remember if you have to be a member to see the map or not.

Otherwise carry on and stay safe. Better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.

Just something to think about.

All of the above have provided good answers on a lot of different points . I have carried a handgun for 30 plus years and never been “ printed “ . Someone looking at me would never know I was armed . Cleaners in general wear fairly loose clothing so that’s usually not an issue . In the last year or so the OD deaths around here ( Western Pa. ) and in particular the town I live near , have gone down dramatically . All were heroin / fentanyl related . What is disturbing is the amount of cocaine / crack / meth seized and arrests made . Meth is easily made “ home brew “ and the individuals who consume this and the cocaine can be extremely dangerous . The last heroin death occurred 30 feet from where I park my van after I was gone in the early morning hours just about a month ago .
Please “ be safe “ .
All the Best , Ed
