Moved my 805 over to pull blower exhaust heat exchangers put it back ran it sounded good a lot more vacuum,started in the morning making a weird screeching sound pulled cover saw this anybody seen this before thanks Ken

Pull the belt off, try to wiggle the pulley and see if there’s any play. Also spin the pully around several times by hand and see if you hear or feel the lobes knocking inside.

Probably been in the works for a while. It was most likely just a coincidence that this happened now.

If you remounted the blower wrong it may have twisted the blower housing. This can lock up the lobes and potentially cause the gears to go out of time. Although I have never seen gears jump, I have seen couplers and belts break. Usually if the blower is twisted the lobes will rub the housing then start knocking until it ultimately locks up.

Did you aline up the machine exactly like it was? That could have caused the problem

Well we used a fork lift to push I to enough to pull those heat exchangers then we pushed it back that night it ran good the next morning it started making noise.I ended up buying a new coil for my powermatic been using that till I get finished with my deer and elk hunt so then I will deal with it. The suction was never that good on it.

Got in there today I was able to push and pull the lower gear about half the width of The gear so does that mean bearings thanks Ken

Ara I was going to say when the guy with the forklift moved he didn’t actually pick it up he kinda tourqued to the side maybe this caused it?
