Ok so just bought this set up after years of using portables , was going great up until I did a steam pass then a dry pass then went to start a new steam pads and holy !!!! Out of the wand was a black line sprayed onto the the carpet , as thick as the wand , I freaked , I flushed the water tank for a while made sure my water source was clean which it was and managed to get it clear ish , got the black mark off and continued but now every so often I will run the machine and turn the drain tap on to see why colour the water is in the tank and I’m still getting hints of grey in the water , I changed the hose from the right side that goes from the little radiator to the water tank on the machine as It looked super old , and I’m sure that was the problem , still getting hints of grey in the water though , filters are clean , any on come across this or have another idea of what it could be ?

I didn’t think solution lines as it goes into the water tank , was thinking to change all inlet water lines first , see how it goes , the guy I bought it off used a container off a water fountain those ones u tip upside down , he used this set up to clean water tanks for a couple of years and never ever ran water through a tap into the machine as we normally do ,
So what I’ve done is bypassed the water inlet on the front of the machine so I got rid of all the old hose and tapped straight into left side of the radiator with some new garden hose , that part isn’t under immense pressure so should hold for a quick fix for now it seems to have done the trick until I can get the hoses re made with all connections , tested it last night and water tank is now running clear.
