I’m in the market for a portable that would be strictly used for tile and grout. What are some of the better machines out there. I’d also like to factor in weight and ease of set up. I have a 160 tile bathroom hotel job coming up so I’d like to be able to set up/move/break down easily. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend one with APO and fresh water direct feed for continuous , uninterrupted cleaning, just like this one:
Edic Endeavour 1200. It's not the lightest among portables, but well balanced and it has casters on its back so you can slide it right in your van( make sure both tanks are empty)

Hi

I have few carpet cleaning machines (prochm steam pro max) but non of it works well with a floor & grout cleaning tool. I mean, it does work but very good.

Is there a minimum power required to break the dirt on the grout?

Thank you

[/QUOTE Any portable would do much better job than 70 years old lady sitting on kitchen floor cleaning grout lines with something that resembles a toothbrush.
Seriously, you didn't mentioned what psi are you working with. I've seen tile&grout spinners working just fine with 450-500 psi. Is it ideal?
No, it isn't, but with right chemistry, agitation and heat, you'll get satisfactory results. You know, the man behind machine factor.
The reason that you're not getting good results is sitting most likely in your " powerful " 100, 200 psi pump....
I hope that helps.

Hi

150 psi

I didnt said that it was not working at all. It is ok. But i get better results with a buffer and a wet vac. See, all European systems have less power than the american ones. The grout cleaner sold by Prochem in Europe is useless

I can see some much better tile & grout tools available in America. Even the wands, in Europe, we have 1 wand. That s it. In america you have wands by weight, number of nozzles & sizes

Thank you
