I use the Intuit card reader on my iPhone 5. Works great but it take about 3 days to get the money into my account. Is the Square the same way?

NO

Square deposits all swiped card transactions from each business day at midnight eastern time. No waiting. For Saturday, and Sundays transactions they go through on Sunday at midnight.

Dedicated

In the newest update of the square ap, it will try to attempt to connect 3 times. If it still does not get a data connection via Wifi (yes this works and most homes have wifi and a guest login you can use if you ask) or through the cell network it will hold on to the data and allow you to have the customer sign for the transaction. Then the first time your phone gets a signal it will process the transaction. Only draw back here is if it were to decline you are gonna have to go back to customers house to get an alternative form of payment.

Have been using Flint , no card reader needed to carry around , no contract , just one flat fee for credit and one flat fee for debit ! It also direct deposits to your account within a couple of days, so for I've been happy with it!

While I use Square... I have heard awesome things about World Pay. They have a mobile app as well but the info is much more secure and supposedly the fees are a lot lower

I'm still kind of new to using the smartphone. I don't use the wifi when I'm doing the transaction. Data use isn't even a small blip. Should I be using wifi? I use wifi while at home and manually turn on and off data and wifi when I leave.
