The first thing you'd need to know is, both machines have been out of production for some time. But since you've already owned a Bruin 2 in the past, you know this.

Ok, I will try to give you a little info, since I own a Maxx 450D with 5800 hrs. 32hp 3cyl liquid cooled diahatuisu motor, Cat pump., #4 blower, hx.210-220 heat. Its been very dependable and reliable. I maintain and keep up with maintenance. pump rebuild 2x and and injection replaced at Auto Zone. Thats it. I would be concerned about the maintenance on the units. How are they being protected in freezing weather. Whats the asking price? If u need any info: I'm the man

Its a steal if motor, pump, blower hx all check out. Even if minor problems buy it.

I don't know anything about the bruin, it was manufactured in the 70's I believe. Maxx has the edge. Why not buy both

Watch out. With the sell out to SS I would not be surprised if proprietary items are discontinued fast imo. Ever heard about planned obsolescence?

Designed to fail, manufacture keeps rolling out new designs and "improvements" helps them to keep up their sales.

Either way
If I bought out a company and wanted to open my own line.....of tm
I wouldn't overly support the old brand....

Virtually all large manufacturers continue to supply parts for obsolete machines for several years after the machine is discontinued.

If you've gotten ten to fifteen good years out of a machine, I would guess a manufacturer would feel that their product did right by you and would not feel terribly guilty selling you another machine. It's what we do with cars too.

As of today...
You cannot buy Hx for older prochems....
It's been like that for the past year or so....
Unless you use fuel heat those tm are wo heat if your hx system goes out....
