I did a few of these. They had solution dyed nylon in carpet tiles. But you need to find out the type of fiber, carpet and installation information of the location you will be cleaning. Otherwise you get general answers that may or may not apply to your situation.

Your efforts will also be noticed by your client. Getting 20 opinions from other cleaners on-line and then selecting one at random does not assure the best results. That would be a lazy approach.

I picture can not definitely identify a fiber. You need to get a tuft and do a burn test.

I do know the place you are doing. I did inspection / consultation on that building 7 years ago. They may have different carpet now.

We do about 5 of these in Houston, big long hallways full of rooms on both sides with common areas and big dining hall... Usually they wont let you drag in hoses from a truckmount. So its gonna be porty city on this one,,, I would take a helper to run water chems and dump duties.. Usually hot water is not a problem, lots of plugs but take two extension cords. Prespray extract,,, youll just have to decide on what chems to use..

I have some senior appartments like this coming up. The manager doesn't care at all how it's done. He just gets a set amount per year to clean carpet. Think I'm gonna use the vibe and possibly the new crb I'm picking up tomorrow. Much faster than the portable.

If they are demanding a TM will they be responsible to keep the elderly out of your way? I did a TM one time and never again, VLM every time now. If they ask for TM I tell them they have to have everyone out of the hallways and assume responsibility of someone falls. It's a big risk, not to mention the dry times.

I have done the common areas of a few assisted living centers with my TM but it has been after hours and they blocked off the areas from the residents.
