Hi guyzz..just wondering if anybody ever used or familiar with this TM. A guy is selling it for 4 grand for just the TM. He said that its a Chemtech and got less than 300 hrs on it, 18 HP, fully serviced.
He said that he sold a couple of this but not many people liked it just because its a little different than your more common TM in case of operating it. So they're not used to it.
I'd like to get more info on this model and just wondering if any of the masters here knows more about this TM and can help me out a bit. Thks guyzz..

These Truckmounts definitely require some finesse when using them. I've learned little tricks and tips with mine. Make sure it has a water box because if not the water will burn through the seals on the pump. Older ones didn't have them the newer ones do. I'd wrap the silencer with heat wrap. Makes the belts last longer on the pump and takes some heat away from all your components. High temperature sensor is good to have with these. Even with that, I make sure if I sit my wand down I go crack a drain line to let the water flow. The motor has to be aligned right or else you will have coupler issues. Has pretty standard stuff. Roots blower, Kohler engine, mine has a cat pump but some have comet or hypros. They put good parts on the machine it's just you have to figure out how to keep the parts from breaking quicker than most Truckmounts. It's possible but takes some learning. I'm thinking since it is a 18 how engine it prob is a 36 blower. Definitely a one wand Truckmount with the ability to use 200 ft for good suction.

So this TM needs a "higher" maintenance is what your saying?
How about the price ? Is 4 grand a good price for this?

Basically, just pay attention to the machine and baby it. As far as price, these machine usually sell pretty cheap if used. Is it new or used? Just to give you a little insight on how much I payed for mine, I got the 25 HP with waste tank, and hose reel for 1200 used. Had to put another 1800 to fix it up. If it's new, compared to brand new Truckmount prices it's def cheap, but I'd still set a couple thousand aside just in case you need to modify anything. Being a smaller machine to, it won't be as desirable. Most ppl like to have a 45 blower these days.

This is mine and I love it. Makes me so much more money and paid itself off. Some people don't like them but it's cool. I will modify this one to last 10,000 hours

Looks pretty nice i think brand new they are 8999. You will have problems but I took my engine off at the customers house and replaced a cheap coupler. I mean if you make 100 and hour to spend time working on it to me is worth it

So to get hoses let's say 200 ft at 1.85 a foot. Vaccum and similar price for solution. Round it to 2 bucks a foot and thats 800 bucks in hoses you will need. Then whatever a hose reel is. Never bought a new hose reel so don't even know the price. Surely it at least comes with a waste tank? TCS in Atlanta charges like 1000-1500 for a waste tank to give you an example. Hell make and offer for like 2000 and try to settle at 2500. Just try to save yourself some money for repairs and hoses. Definitely make him crank it and run it for 30 minutes to an hour if he claims it runs flawless. If it doesn't run flawless could benefit you. On my TMT Truckmount the guy wanted 2500 then when I asked him to crank it, it would crank and leaked. Got it for 1000 and spent 1500 fixing everything.

This guy own a shop here. Y'know..chemicals and repairs. It comes with a waste tank. He'll charge $500 for installation. And will give me a really good deal on hoses and reel, and he fully serviced the TM, which i believe. This guy has helped me a lot to get started in this biz. Just needed to know if the TM is worth it or should i shop some more.

I think it comes down to what your needs are then. Is that smaller 36 blower going on be okay with you. Im guessing the heat is going to be under 180 with a four jet wand. Prob like 160. My 25 HP with a 2 jet wand runs 190 to 200 on the water temp so I'm guessing that's going to be lower. If your doing any flood sucking this isn't the best machine versus just for carpet cleaning. In the grand scheme 4000 is cheap if it runs perfect. I'd be happier if it was cheaper 2500-3000 range. But you got some questions to ask yourself.

Maybe $4k with free installation and 150' of vacuum and solution hose and it runs great if you are at a point that having a TM will allow your business to grow.

its a chem-tex not a chemspech. They tend to be a generic low engineered truckmount, dont get me wrong they work but in my opinion they're kind of not worth the investment. I think I have seen some with black ABS plastic fittings. I think Chem Tex makes the "panther"
