I am considering the Amtex Prowler Classic or 13HP 2011 It will be ran off of the trailer. I know that there is a Chem tex but the quality looks eehh... Not as good as the Amtex. I would also rather deal with Ben since he has an outstanding reputation. Whats your take?

extremely good machines, but i would prefer the the 2010 models, the 2011 models, pipe and the relief valve i don't like it because is on top, and also kind of block the vie from the gauge panels. But those are simple, easy to fix, etc those machines are beautiful.

I've been running Ben's Inferno for a few years now without a single problem and of course his reputation for exceptional customer service is well deserved. I got to play around with the Prowler the last time I was down in Houston (checking it out for my brother) and I was impressed by its heat and vacuum. The build quality was just as impressive and would recommend it to anyone looking for more power than a portable at a lower cost than a TM.

In reality of my budget & resources I would love to buy the new TMF SE. Although I have to face reality its going to most likely be a Prowler. I plan on mounting it in my trailer and grow from there. I am thinking if I put aside $400 once a month for the next 8 months that's $3200 then add my income tax return and looks like I will be in the game.

A plan is a dangerous thing... just kidding... sounds like a solid plan and the Prowler will definitely give you the bang for the buck you're looking for.

And no... I don't work for Ben, I just know how happy I am with my Amtex and the bend-over-backwards customer service Ben is known for makes me want to give back.

Wish he would or could make one with a 36 blower that I would buy on the spot , anyways buy a prowler over any porty lots of happy users and when things go well for you you can keep it as a great back up that can be stored in a garage etc

Can't go wrong with prowler. I've had mine now for two years and its great. To me I have great suction and the heat is fine. How much more suction does a person need? I might actually be selling mine but not sure yet. I would like to buy 25 or 30 HP inferno. As most people know Ben is a stand up guy who you can trust.

Well almost a month has gone by and so far at the $500 mark $6000 more to go. The more I look into TM units for residential cleaning the more I return to the Amtex Prowler, the Inferno 14 is cool also but will require more space. I don't care for the pneumatic wheels on the prowler. Thanks for all the post and comments

amtex machines are super good!! the reason why they cheaper then name brand is because they dont have all those sensors ect from what i was told... good components, and great engines!

Anyone got any info on a more precise price difference between the Chemtex and the Amtex portables? I'm looking closely at both. Chemtex has machines on ebay for 5500-6500, but the Prowler is mysterious. What do they run and is the Prowler worth the upgrade?

But it's still a chemtex, and chemtex doesn't have Benn and his great customer service. Just saying.

Kevin,

I would go with Amtex. They have great machines, customer support, and service, that no other TM company can compare with. I've never hear one bad thing about Amtex machines, Benn, or their customer service, not one. That says it all to me.

When it's time for me to buy a TM, I'm buying an Amtex. No doubt in my mind.

I have heard nothing but good stuff too! Good company and good support is a asset in this business . Anyone who stands by what they sell is a big plus! I agree with Johnny..
