So I got my first appointment last night from Amazon home services… Has anyone else used this? There were a few things that I had to work out with Amazon in regards to tax and our bank account, but other than that it went great. They list the services as a 20% lead fee, but for carpet cleaning it is 10%

It is a booking service... In lieu of throwing a warm unverified lead like HomeAdvisor.
So a customer types in a home service, reviews a list of providers and "checks out" through amazons online processing.
It went without hiccup. Amazon takes 10% of the pie. That's it.

Not quite sure I get it. Are you doing a per room ad? I wouldn't know how much it would be until I got to the custys house.

Looked into it but the general pricing I saw on there was similar to groupon maybe a little higher.. $70/ 3rooms etc

I was really excited to hear it was coming out because amazon is local here and I thought it would kill but that idea was quickly shot down once I saw the pricing

A customer uses Amazon.com and goes to home services. They then select the service that they would like in the area that they were in, also the number of rooms. It then gives them a list of results. They can immediately book and pay for the service and selects service times that they would like. The payment is processed at the Home as with any consumer service. All they do is sign above the line on the Amazon app.

This is where the customer selects the number of rooms and whether it is residential or commercial

Then they get the results here.
(As of now, it is only sorting by price. I spoke to a rep and he listed off their "priority list" of things. It is extensive. And there should be great changes to come.)

What is emailed to the service provider.
