Went to Jon Don Chicago today to have my machine checked out (electrical issue) When I pulled in the parking lot there were 20-25 carpet cleaning vans lined up by the service door. I was thinking that maybe they were having a seminar today. Turns out every truck was sitting there waiting for repair parts! I have never seen anything like that in all my years of going there.
Go to a car dealership lol.
Parts stores.
Buy cabinets.
Order appliances.
Try and schedule siding to be replaced.
Try and find tubing.
Breakers.
Everything across the line has slowed to a crawl or a complete stop. Most of its covid and shut downs. And some of it was texas catching fire. And a lot of the materials you need are being sent elsewhere.
Believe it or not. Fkn ebay of all places have been keeping sht moving.
remember the days of garage hacking and bone yard crawling to fix your own things? Thats coming to be once again. You’re going to see a lot of improvising and redneck ingenuity. Convenience is over.
