I replaced the engine, joy coupler, and fuel pump on my El Diablo in three hours yesterday....by myself. Last time it took the guy at my local small engine repair shop five hours and he pulled a few wires loose that took me a while to diagnose. Good for another five years or so

Close to 4500 hours. Those GX-690’s are bad to the bone. That El Diablo originally had a Kohler engine. The Honda is a superior engine to me, and I beat the hell out of it this last year.

I love the Honda HX-690. I have one in one of my machines, my other machine has a Kohler. When the Kohler engine goes its being replaced by a Honda as well.
