So after years of using a portable i'm finally considering getting a TM. Obviously i know what they are but have never owned one. I want simplicity not concerned with all the bell's and whistles, just more that can fail on them as far as i'm concerned. I want basic squirt and suck, already own a little giant heater so i got heat covered. already have a chevy van to put one in as well

So i want a simple basic machine that i can work on myself if need be. In the last 6 years i've never had to go over 150 feet and most likely never will.

So whats the best simple basic and reliable machine out there?

If you're willing to look at gently used TMs, Kevin, give me a holler. I know of a few guys here in Charlotte with used equipment that might be of interest to you - one of whom has been in business almost 30 years. ;)

Thank you, I would be open to a good used one, if they are in Charlotte NC thats good because I live in NC as well. More details please

He already has a van that he wants to use.
Yes, I know, lol. It's just a starting point - there are multiple folks who will jump on that unit if he decides it's not for him. Just wanted to make sure he gets first dibs, Kevin's been VERY helpful to a lot of guys here and anything I can do to help in exchange, I'm willing. We'll keep picking units til he finds one that sings to him.

Just spoke to Kacy at relia-built, "nice guy" I would be interested in his unit with

23HP Briggs Vanguard "Commercial POWER" engine
Size 45 Blower - 400CFM /15"HG Lift
2000 PSI High temperature pump
and recovery tank

I would leave out the heat exchanger as i already have a little giant heater

that would put me at $8995 plus shipping for a something new

Seems like a very simple basic unit and easy to work on which is what i'm after
only thing I don't like is having to put down a 5grand deposit

Kacy with Reliabuilt is a great company to do business with.
Regarding your response though, what is your budget?

Fuel tap kit and an evening to install. In the past we've just had the van prepped and picked up the TM on the loading dock so we only needed to remove the pallet and bolt it down. $5k down isn't terrible, go for it.

Kevin, the only reason to worry about putting money down for Relia-built is buyer's remorse. I'm not going to steer you towards Kacy's product, you have to do the homework and decide for yourself. I've jumped from using Mytee Escape ( with upgraded 6.6: motors) straight to a " patent pending " 23/47 Relia- built with a 100 gallons waste tank. Shortly after getting the unit, I called Kacy with question on how to reduce " suck" power even at 200' . He was laughing with " pride" saying that too much power it's good problem to have. And yes, I've learned how to handle the beast...
