kind of a longshot posting this hear, but has anyone heard what happened to royalty carpet mills?
I got an email this morning from the sales rep, saying they are gone.
There's was some of the best stuff in the business, and made any carpet cleaners life much easier.
yeah, but you still have to create a job for every single transaction. when you have a carpet store with a thousand items, and somebody just wants a bag of grout, it creates a mound of work for what should be a 30 second transaction.
yeah, but if someone comes in the store and buys 1 box of tile, it creates a mound of "app" work, when you could just swipe and go. we have not been able to figure out how to differentiate between a job and an item. i'll check into syncing with quickbooks online, but overall i've found this...
on another note, i tried housecall pro. i'm getting rid of it. it's a pain, and it can't differentiate between sales and labor, (if you sell an item, it creates a job for the item) and won't sync with quickbooks. it may work for some businesses, but not mine.
i have a customer who is going back and forth between anso nylon and nylon 6.6. I've been around anso for a while, but this is my first rodeo with 6.6. they only want to spend once, and want a really good piece of rug.
thanks for the help.
probably 20k people or so.
pretty much the only people shopping at this store right now are the owners contractor buddies. believe it or not, that's all it took to keep the store profitable. hopefully we can hang on to them, and start advertising to bring in some homeowners as well. we...
Interesting. We are going to change the name. This store has not advertised in over 2 years. Plus the guy that owned it was getting older in years (80's) and was getting a little cranky as you could understand. So we are going to Rebrand so people know it's me.
what's more, i got a call from the cops in the middle of the night last night, someone tried to burn it down. unfortunately, for the arsonist, it's directly across the street from a fire station. A fireman saw them with a gas can and a match, hopped in a firetruck, and drive across the street...
yes, i'm still cleaning. i have to figure this out, i do have a partner on board to run the store, and do general business development. i may have to back off the actual pushing of the wand a bit, however.
I bought a carpet and flooring store today.
I haven't been on here all summer, i've been busy getting financing and negotiating the deal.
It all came together, finally today.
I hope it goes well.
i'm a little excited, we've got a 3000 square foot show room and a 1500 sq ft warehouse...
