I love Google Ads. If you do it right it's almost instantaneously profitable.
Did you know that there are about 4000 people searching Google to hire a carpet cleaner per month in the city of Milwaukee?
The fact is that when people search Google for a service, it's because they are intent on...
Yeah I think the 4 steps of vacuum, spray, CRB, then OP machine can get you 95% of what a TM will do.
Check this out:
Pre spray with a pH of about 9.8 (Vacaway Blast Combo my favorite)
Then wet your pads with some Vacaway Safe-N-Soft (pH 4).
Leaves the carpets feeling soft and clean.
Haha. Ok I will go with the Vibe. I ran into an interesting situation today. A dark brown, shaggy carpet that was pretty greasy from a dog and people's feet.
I chickened out and used the TM after agitating with the CRB. Turned out ok. Can never really make greasy carpet feel good to the touch...
Thanks for the tips. I do most residential, but I have done a few commercial jobs. I don't mind pre spraying ahead of my self though. I feel like the extra dwell time is nice.
I saw the Orbot Vibe without the sprayer. I would love to get one. Either that or the Challenger.
I like that the Vibe...
I am considering going with this method. CRB then Orbot Vibe for residential. 3 gallon spotter for when it's needed. Truck mount maintenance is pretty expensive. Seems like it's always something. If you make 100k per year with your TM, then your spending at least 5k on maintenance.
I love the idea of being mostly VLM with a HWE spotter for tough spots, urine and upholstery. Seems like the best ROI in colder climates, where truck mount maintenance will cost you $5k per year or more. Plus you can drive more fuel efficient vehicles.
VLM hits on all the pain points...
How do you feel about starting a new carpet cleaning company in a place like Milwaukee, WI? Brutal winters that last 5 months with temps at or well below freezing. I'd love to know your thoughts on this.
I have gotten to use a few different truck mounts and electric portables in the last 9 months.
Learning more about vacuum relief, engines, heat exchangers, and maintenance has been very interesting.
Any ETM users that switched from a gas TM?
1. Google Local Service Ads (Google Guaranteed).
2. 'Call only' Google Ads. That way one click equals one phone call. You don't have to worry about people bouncing off your landing page.
3. Google my Business (Local SEO). These are essentially free clicks. There is a formula to triple the...
Thanks. I am from Milwaukee originally, but I have been living in Portland for about 10 years.
Carpet cleaning for about 9 months now, and I really like it. Oregon's governor destroyed my food service business downtown, so I switched to a home service business.
I am planning on moving back...
Haha no. I want to get away from using oxidizers, as much as possible. I rely on them too heavily, and they are not the safest class of chemicals for us cleaners to be exposed to every day. I also am struggling a little with my efficiency. I am looking to add a fresh water tank, and having...
Thanks. I am trying to speed up my operation as much as possible. Looking for a chemical with good cleaning and oxidizing properties. Preferably one that works well in an inline sprayer, and can me mixed well ahead of time.
Is it safe to use on high-end nylon? What about older nylon, or wool?
