What is this? (picture) Plus a few other T&G cleaning q's

That is absolutely not color sealer. It looks like an old clear sealer that is still adhered to the grout. A water based stripper would help you to emulsify that product. Zep makes a stripper that can easily be found at Home Depot or Lowes as something you can easily find (tho not my first...

ASO Leper spots on grout lines

This was a stripping job and not a cleaning job.

    2790

I feel inclined to post these only because of Rob's (shameless) self aggrandizing posts in regards to his own products (it IS his own forum, so it's his own disgusting prerogative I suppose). These were all done with a competing product that is supposedly not to be used inside unless you plan...

Does this snippet photo make you feel in someway superior to this man? More childish behavior. Completely unnecessary.

Current job right now, at about 5 oz to a gallon. Sprayed inside. Cold water at 1200 psi. Nobody dead, no fumes, no harm to glass or stainless.

Is it just me or does that not say one thing about interior or exterior use?

Seeing Rob's response makes me never care to try Groutmaster. Show some class. I would be willing to wage that the majority of this industries' heavy hitters don't even read these online forums. This is why I will continue to have a low post count.

Yes. I would say 5-8 oz per gallon (I'm a seasoned glugger...). TBH, we polish the majority of natural stone floors we do, so if we were to dull a stone via cleaning, its not that important to us.

I also use 2790 daily. Haven't had a single issue with stainless or wood. Can't compare it to anything else as I have been using it for a couple years with no need to switch. Just tapped my 3rd barrel of it yesterday as a matter of fact. Cold or warm, all seems to work the same to me.

Stone Guys - How do you sell your services?

I also have never had realtors that just bring it home for me. Realtors are small potatoes as far as Im concerned. We do quite a bit of work from builders that are ultimately referred from tile stores.

where to buy a good spray tank for 175

If you are looking for a one pass type of cleaning with your 175...I think you should be prespraying. However, you can showerfeed and prescrub, and then follow up with bonnet cleaning and provide something a little more superior, and not have to bring in a separate sprayer. I encap almost all...

where to buy a good spray tank for 175

I get wanting to be able to spray, but man that rotary sure looks like a bunch of work just to have that ability. I took the sprayborg off of my Orbot because I was tired of the jet clogging up with encap product (my fault for not rinsing after), and the weight. Shower feed just works so...

    Sapphire Scientific filter-Pretty bad azz!

I won this filter in an Interlink Supply raffle many years ago (Yeah!). I love the filter, but really only use it when I plan on needing a vac splitter for bigger upholstery work. Its a great splitter....and filter! I actually saw one once that also had a pressure line plug in that split the...

How to get acid off stainless steel appliances?

Ive used Barkeepers friend many times in the past. Make it into a paste with water, apply, and work it into according to the grain. Finish up with a stainless steel cleaner/polish like Sheila Shine afterwards to make it even. I have also been able to remove some horrendous looking marks with it.

Will systems like Ram Air work with negative air machine

I'm also unimpressed with this guys' dancing around. Why don't you just answer the questions? You are making yourself and your company look rather foolish.

    solvent based grout sealer question

I seriously doubt you will have issues. I on occasion use Cobbs Ultraseal (we dont clear seal too often), and have used Hardball chems solvent based protector before on T/G and it has reacted just like the Cobbs product. I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag..... Cobbs Ultraseal is...

Will systems like Ram Air work with negative air machine

Grant, How heavy is that duct hose you use? It definitely looks like a better and easier to use hose than the one I recently sold to run off of my gas powered neg air machine. I hated it so much that I sold it for an electric neg air unit so I could use a shorter (and lighter) mylar hose...

    Color Seal pricing

Typically you will find unsanded grout in installations of 1/8th of an inch or less. Sanded in ones larger. Sanded obviously is less smooth than unsanded grout.

You will find that it wipes out. If it wipes out, it will walk off or be removed when the customer attempts to clean it too and make you look like an asshat.

    Color Seal pricing

Unsanded on a floor - absolutely not. We CS unsanded shower walls on the regular with great success. If we are doing a polish on a natural stone floor with unsanded grout, I will usually put in a bid for regrouting it.

    Color Seal pricing

I love when I find a natural stone job that we are going to polish that also has recessed sanded grout lines. Color sealing grout on marble floors is super easy.

I go out and estimate the majority of our projects and it is very rare for us to do a same-day job. Setting expectations is THE key in presenting yourself properly and securing larger sales. If a repeat client calls us saying they are looking to have the sort of work scope as you have...
